Yeah, because who the hell wants characters who have unique and distinct looks? It's better to have a dozen characters who all look the same.

Yeah. And don't forget to give them all the same fighting stances too, like in UMK3.

Not to forget the paddle swapped moves.

Bah. The classic ninjas were so much cooler. And if you ARE going to make them distinct from each other, don't go completley altering their uniform, like Ermac and Rain, or turning them into an entirely different looking thing like Reptile. That sleek ninja outfit is what made them so badass!

The classic outfits for the palette swap offenders sucked. They're better off as they are now, unique and individual. And only Scorpion is a ninja! The rest are not!

They should keep them the wat they are and whats your complaint with ermac and rain their new looks are great and not to mention that the palette swap characters were only created because of technological limitations and now that they dont have that problem they can make the characters more original and overall better. Now I do admit that reptiles mkda costume did kinda suck but I think the mk team did a great compromise with reptiles mka costume by blending the ninja and lizard costumes.

You guys are all on crack. That was the classic look, it was what made mk what it was. And then there were the girls, who wore the same costume pretty much, only the female version. That was so signature of mortal kombat. They've become soooo.... just like every other video game.. Don't get me wrong, i love me some mortal kombats... but the trademark-ness of it all has become more modern and unoriginal.

While I did enjoy Reptile as more human (simply because my mind interpreted him as more human originally) I do have to agree with the others. Times have changed, I still love the old suit memories but some of the new styles kick lots of ass.

What you have against Rain's outfit I have no idea. He looks sort of Persian, it's a really unique style (maybe my favorite new look). I hope they keep up with originality of design and blow our minds with the next set of characters.

only characters that should come back to mk8 is scorpion and subzero (every1 knows that lol) Mileena, Kitana, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao.

Rest assured that only Scorpion and Sub-zero will be back for the next MK. Sorry those other characters won't make it. Had to post this.

Look, if you like the costume designs so much, just create it in MKA or go back to the old games. How could MK compete now with simplistic costumes such as MK2's with other video games? The days of pallette swapping are over, we have welcomed modern technology and graphics to help differentiate and develop characters as an individual, giving them their own personality without being as one-sided as a pallette swap.

Going back to pallette swaps would not be good. That copy and paste mentality of the past games was one of the things I hated most.
