I swear on my soul, that the Tekunin, will leave no survivers, good or evil! All because of you i lost my soul and my human body. I will be human again!!!And with a barrage of missles, Sektor had slain Shao Kahn for good and took his rightful place as King of all the realms..... until the next tournament.

According to MKDA's story, Sheeva was killed by Shao Kahn when she betrayed him. In turn, Sheeva killed Motaro. I doubt either of those will show up. Personally I think they set up a host of great characters, and some great plot angles, in MKDA, and then completely ignored that when going into MKD.
Does anyone else find it slightly odd the way they had all these endings in MKDA, and in the end they went for Reptile's ending, the one which had the least to do with the Deadly Alliance of all of them. Personally I thought that Kenshi or Kung Lao were gonna get Tsung back, Drahmin and Moloch were gonna get stuck into Quan Chi, Scorpion was gonna die for real (what a way to go though), and the Red Dragon were going to start a feud with the Lin Kuei. Well, they pissed all over those angles.

They didn't use every ending, but they used more than just Reptile's ending. Red Dragon VS Lin Kuei would have been interesting but totally out of place.

YaGreatness, you should consider looking at the bios and endings of certain characters as the games progress, or play MK:DA Konquest to get some of your story-based questions answered, since it looks like you haven't even tried figuring out what's going on with the story.

Lin Kuei vs. Red Dragon is hardly out of place. One clan is working for the alignment of good, the other for evil, both are rather ancient Asian groups who, according to Deception's Konquest, have fought before in the past, and in Mavado's ending he is seen being told by Quan Chi about the Lin Kuei, "another threat to the Red Dragon".
MKDA brought up some very interesting story angles that I think would have been excellent if they had made it into Deception, but sadly, hardly any of them did. A lot of the actual plot of MKDA occured in the Konquest mode and then in MKD when it came out; hardly any of the main characters' (Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Kung Lao, Sonya, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Kano and Sub-Zero, as examples) endings came true.

When it comes to new characters....I hope there are not alot of them b/c there are so many other characters from previous games that we havent heard from or about since they were put into the game they were introduced!!! I mean case in point Fujin, Stryker, Kai, Sareena, Rain, etc. We have no clue as to what happened to them and adding more characters to the roster can be pretty useless. I mean why not introduce characters that havent been in more than 2 games??? Why add more?
If they do add more characters, let hope that they can bring more to the storyline instead of just being there to fill up the character selection and lets hope that these characters are unique and have some value to the game. Most of the 50+ characters we have are basically clones of characters we already have. Example Kobra and Kira, both new characters in Deception however, both of these characters had moves from 2 OTHER ORIGINAL CHARACTERS!!! That's not unique at all!!! I mean c'mon I would have rather had Sonya and Kano instead of those 2 considering that the moves Kira and Kobra had I pretty much associated with Sonya and Kano. Also, too many multi-colored ninjas, that needs to stop, either give them a storyline that connects them to the game or just dont put them in.
