I know that you can't switch between variations during a fight, that when you select your character you pick the variation then. Thinking about arcade mode though, each character you are up against will fight differently especially when you factor in their own variations. Most definitely certain variations of your character will be more useful against certain variations of certain other characters than others.

Which presents a little bit of a problem in regard to arcade mode.

My question is basically this: will you have to be BEATEN by your opponent in order to go back to the select screen and choose a variation of your character more suited to taking them on? Or when you choose a variation when initially selecting your character will you be committing to playing through against EVERY character(and their respective variations) with that one variation?

Will variations factor more into strategy in terms of it changes how you approach your opponent based on THEIR variation, or is it more about picking the right variation for YOUR character to go up against said opponent(and variation) with?

Am I making any sense? lol
