Why is Sindel not the new ruler of the Netherrealm? I understand having Liu Kang and Kitana the new king and queen makes a better story. But isn't Sindel next in line after Shinnok and Quan Chi? She was the next highest ranking.
Maybe the revenants just embrace the opposite of what they were in life.
Sindel was queen in life, Liu Kang passed up the opportunity to be by Kitana's side and rule Edenia in life, opting instead to protect Earthrealm. Corrupted Sindel might just want to vacation, and corrupted Liu might like power.
