Punchwalk
They keep teasing us with this, in the stream before they were really gushing over it how cool it was and even this episode they mentioned it. I'm 99% sure it is a Goro move (anybody confirm?). What do you guys think it is?
I think since they keep mentioning it, it cannot be just a regular move where you punch a combo of buttons and Goro goes into a walking mode where he just keeps punching.
In my opinion, while it could be a Brutality, I think it might be his X-ray where he grabs the opponent and walks to the other end of the screen while beating on the opponents chest very fast and you see bones breaking.
What you guys think?

Really interested to find out what exactly it is.
I think it may be a Variation where once you activate the move, Goro punches as he walks. So just by pressing left or right towards and opponent, Goro does potential damage and can follow up with actual moves.
One thing I hope they DON'T do with Goro is give him Sheeva and Kintaro's special moves. I have a bad feeling that they will though

When Goro moves forward his bottom arms will always be punching

It sounds like his move in MK9 where he literally punch walked. Pretty sure it's the same one.

Hate to dissapoint but that's probably him walking into the foreground as he's being selected.

I dunno man. The trailers with "Goro Lives", as you see him moving to the foreground, that looks like his select animation.

I'm willing to bet his lower arms can still throw punches while he's walking, or vice versa.

I would like if he had the spin-top move where he has all four arms straight out and he spins. He can have a stand still and his EX, you can control him while spinning.

Never saw this move when I fought against him. You can't play as him in MK 9 unless people modded/hacked the game.

What you said is implying that animation is the punch walk. I seriously doubt it because he's just cracking his knuckles....
Another thought.... Maybe during the walk away, after both characters are selected. Goro has a special animation where he punches the opponent off screen and walks away???
I'm just picturing Goro as Bart Simpson flailing his arms around while moving forward while Liu Kang goes for his MK9 shin-kick combo opener a la Lisa SImpson's kick-steps.
This is now how the MK1 tournament went down in my eyes.

Lol, how is "That's probably him walking into the foreground as he's being selected." implying it's the punch walk? He's saying the exact same thing you are.

Goro better have some kind of tough advantage over other characters. That's all I know. They make him seem so tough in the trailer cracking his knuckles n' what not in the shadows.

Random Interlude:
I remember as a child, seeing MK1 in the arcade in its early days, when it was the hot new game on the block giving Street Fighter II a run for its money: I was never a good enough player at that age to get to Goro myself, but I'd see older kids do it sometimes, and the first time I ever saw it...
I thought when Goro would pickup another character with two arms and then repeatedly pound their face with the other two, that it was just the coolest damn thing in the world. And one of the most amazingly intimidating and impressive moves I'd ever seen a boss perform in a video game.
I mean by today's standards it's easy to forget, but I remember 20 years ago as a tyke... it was just... the awesomest thing I'd ever seen.
That may have been one of the things that made me fall in love with this franchise at a young age before I even really played it.
I don't know what this punchwalk is, but after all this buildup I'm not sure it can live up to the hype. But I would be extremely impressed if it could live up to that moment from my childhood.

Yup it's a special move in mk9, the windmill one where he spins around. Hopefully his movement isn't shit this time around and he's a real character. Being a "bonus" tells me there are still limitations. I guess to stop him from being overpowered? I dunno why they did that.
