Ed(Boon) and rest of the MK fans, if you are reading this, try to incorporate all projectiles into the 3D realm. Huh? Ok. Here's how it should work. Remember the side step dodge/attacks in other 3D fighting games, Tekken especially eg Law SS+3+4 or SS+2,1,2<1. Try having a move the sends a fireball when the character sidesteps. Tap up/down x2 and a combo of two buttons simultaneously and out flys a projectile, and very fast one too. It can be made even simpler, if the MK uses the old button config of HP, HK, LP,LK. Sidestep can have a high or a low projectile. It will a lot of more harder to dodge. Side step should be quick, not the one where you HOLD the analog up/down and the character walks into 3D. Even if the opponent moves in 3d there are higher chance the projectile will hit as the opponent has to figure out from what direction (up or down sidestep) the projectile is coming from. What about if sidestep fireball is done from a far? No matter, The opponent could side step & sent their variation of the projectile which will also be fun to play to. Think about it; Scorpion sending his spear as soon he sidesteps. or Shang Tsung sending his trademark 3 flaming skulls at different positions for the arena for each fireball. Dodging that would be a achievement and a pain at the same time. If required, add the normal 2D flying projectiles into the mix. Add to that fast paced hand to hand combat that looks and feels as if a person is standing by will get mesmerized as if watching some film on martial arts. And maybe, just maybe have Test Your Might kind of fatality - tapping a button or buttons to break a neck or back(something like God of War) while the opponent tries to stop you from doing the fatality, before time runs out and the wasted character drops like,... like an someone who got ass whooped. Now to sit and wait for 2010 for any updates on the new MK. sleep

Boon doesn't have time to come to this site and see all the amazing things that he can't do.

But it wouldn't hurt to add in a side-step feature during the fights, I'm tired of either getting hit with a projectile, jumping barely over it, ducking underneath it and blocking it. Side-stepping would be something nice to see in MK.

that would make it complicated. And we all know how fun it is to remember different combinations just to win in a fighting game

Err... Side stepping has been there since Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, and it is still there in MK Vs DC game too!!

I want it pulled off better, usually when I try to perform a side-step, they move down majority of the time. I know it was in it for DC, but the others for PS2 it didn't feel like it was there because my controller sucked, ever played with the wireless controllers? They suck.

It's true, projectiles are useless, slow, hella easy to dodge, and so weak, they cause almost as much damage as a blocked combo...

i think it's a good idea to have projectiles modified, they should be fastersmile
