posted07/30/2006 04:31 PM (UTC)byhumansmoke44As we know Armageddon is planning on wiping clean the slate of Mortal Kombat simply by suggestion of its own name.
But once the developers clean the slate in a total "Armageddon" it may be a little difficult to resurrect storylines for several of the characters to make a Mortal Kombat 8 that occurs after MK Armageddon.
Which is why I think that it would be a good idea for the MK team to make the next Mortal Kombat game a prequel to the original Mortal Kombat -where they can further develop characters and explain their relation and background more clearly while still opening up to a flexible canvas for new characters, arenas, and enemies.

That's not such a bad idea. I would love to see the Great Kung Lao and the rest of the ancestors. The idea of developing the backround of each character is great, such as Goro, Shang Tsung, etc. Also, like you said, it creates possibilities for new characters, arenas, and enemies.
All in all, great idea.

Good Idea here are a few more:
1-the beginning of it all:if Midway plans to make the next MK like the first heres what they do the elder gods and the one being. the elder gods want to defeat the one being but to avoid their own death they hold a tournement to decide who fights him. chars are 7-9 including Reiden,Fujin and Shinnok, final boss one being with the endings showing how Shinnok became a fallen elder god and how the realms came to be.
2-Fall of an emperor:Onaga's death by Khan how and why Khan did it, Chars are also few and include Khan, Jerrod, Taven's father (forgot his name), Baraka, Tsung and Reptile. The ending is an intro to the chars, their backgrounds why they helped Khan and Khan's plans for Edenia and earth.
3-the 1st tournement: Khan orders tsung to earth where he fought the Great Kung-Lao, chars are Great Kung-Lao, Tsung, Goro, Kang's ancestor, Reiden, Kitana, Mileena, Baraka, Reptile. ending shows how the first MK game unfoulded.
