I looked over all the endings in MK9 and am thinking some could be canon. Take Cage for instance...he is a survivor in storymode and proved himself. The only thing is that, his costume in his ending looks a little familiar...Jarek from MKA...? However, it does suit him as he is now a "warrior" and not a bland actor.

Liu Kang and Shang Tsung should switch positions. It could work. I'm not really wanting Liu in MK 10 though.

As for Jax, I thought that he was being transformed more into a cyborg but I was wrong. However, his ending would make good. Have him being tired of serving the Outworld Investigation Agency and turn him into a criminal. Sonya would then have a new purpose. I know Jax didn't survive or did he?

I like how Fujin and Bo Rai Cho and Shinnok are the only one's who had a cameo. Fujin was in Krato's, Bo was in Shang's and Shinnok was in Quan's.
No shadow of a doubt that those 3 will be in MK 10.

I'm seriously taking Jade's ending into consideration that the "woman in purple" is in fact Li Mei. I just have that feeling....

More to come later....

You don't know for a fact. Look at Li Mei and that woman's face...comparable!

Just because they have similar looking faces doesn't prove anything at all that it's Li Mei. So don't sit here and say I don't know for a fact when you don't either.

Did you even hear the entire dialogue for the ending? If you are referring to the mysterious woman and not that "lady in purple" that pops up every now and then (because she doesn't even in appear in Jade's ending if you are referring to that), tell me this: how did Li Mei become so powerful in invading dreams and being around for centuries? Because that's what this woman claims she has done. Being around for centuries and invading dreams is something Li Mei has yet to show us in the three games that she's been in.

Similar in the face doesn't mean squat dude. Not to mention, her skin is like... blue.

We already know her character, so it would be completely stupid for them to suddenly make her totally mystical and mysterious when we already know who she is and why she made an appearance here.

If you are meaning this character, 1.) She doesn't appear in Jade's ending,. 2.) Looks nothing like Li Mei at all, especially with the tanned skin.

Not to mention, what would be the purpose of her being at this tournament looking like this when she's never dressed like this before.

Why couldn't this ending have happened?

I don't want Jax to become a Criminal that Sonya has to hunt down. She's still hunting down Kano after all of these years. Its as played out as Scorpion looking for revenge.

I'm talking about the female in Jade's ending. Look at the armor and her skin is not blue. It's just a reflection of the blue light.
If we all know who she is according to your theory...then why doesn't anyone know her name?

I was taking about Li Mei. We know who she is based on the two games she was in with her story. How would this mysterious character be her when we know who Li Mei is and what she is like?

Both the mysterious woman in Jade's ending and the Cyberneticist in Kabal's could become canon characters. The mysterious woman could come from the dream realm in Freddy's story (which doesn't require canonizing Freddy, BTW).

Other endings that could either be canon, or partially canon

Sheeva: obviously not the part about killing Shao Kahn, but the one about rebelling against him and making a deal with our world leaders to immigrate to Earth. I'd like to see Sheeva become an ally.

Sektor: Doesn't contradict the story mode at all. Sektor taking over the Lin Kuei in the new timeline could replace the Tekunin story.

Cyrax: Same as Sektor, it doesn't contradict anything that happened in the story mode at all. And I'm not sure they'll leave Cyrax as a mindless lackey anyway.

Smoke: Everything that was revealed about him in his ending can become canon, the same way Noob being Bi-Han remained canon, even though he didn't kill his younger brother in MKD.

Scorpion; He'll probably discover the truth about Quan Chi, again. and he'll probably go back to hunting Quan Chi, again. If he doesn't figure out the truth, he'll probably be Quan Chi's must trusted servant, again.

Kung Lao: Same as Smoke. Him being the reincarnation of the original Kung Lao can remain canon.

Ermac: Jerrod's soul could become the dominant personality in Ermac's body.

Raiden: each of those four warriors could be new characters in the next game, though I hope they wouldn't all be dressed like Raiden, except for one of the males, who could be named....Kidd Thunder!

Quan Chi: this whole ending could happen in the next game, with Quan Chi using Shao Kahn as his enforcer to kill Shinnok. Wouldn't be the first time Quan Chi betrayed Shinnok.

Johnny: not only possible, but could go in interesting directions. I'm not sure I'd want him to become dead serious though. That aside, I could see Havik get interested in him, in his potential for mass destruction, for chaos.

Sonya: Actually the most likely ending to happen.

Liu Kang: If he's still alive, he could still challenge Raiden for his position as Earth's protector. If he does return, he should be badly burned.

I'd love for Shang Tsung's ending to be canon, but making it so would likely require yet another resurrection. But if they can think of a more creative way to bring him back, then by all means, NRS should go ahead. It could bring so much development to Shang Tsung's character.

Actually, in the picture, the areas where light is reflecting off her skin and clothes appear to be yellowish, while the blue is all the other parts of her body, suggesting that blue IS her true skin color.

Havik is also seen in Noob Saibots ending and his re-design looked good.

I'd like to see Sonya's ending turn canon as she really needs a new story besides hunting down Kano.

I don't think NRS would be daring enough but I wish they would make Kabals ending costume his new one, it looked badass!

not too bothered about the mystery woman in Jades ending but she isn't Li Mei, however I'm certain Li Mei will be back in the next game.

Alrighty everyone!

Only one other thought and she could be Delia?

Sutherland > Argus

@StrykerKombat> Yes Havik and Kabal's looks in the endings are really badass! Havik will be playable, but, Kabal may not be, but, still be there for a cameo in storymode.

Sonya makes me sick, no offense. Hope she only is there for a cameo in the story along with Cage and Cyrax as they are still alive. Jax needs to be playable :)

LI MEI LI MEI LI MEI for MK10!!!!

She's not her either. And before you lash out at me, let me explain this time:

1.) She is called the lady of flame, which means she possesses the ability to control fire. Nothing about that character in Jade's ending shows me that she can control fire. We don't know anything about this character other than she's been around for centuries and can possess people. Have we seen Delia do either of this? No. I'm also fully aware of the other abilities Delia possesses rather than controlling fire, but so what.

2.) She's clearly wearing red, and her skin is white. The character in Jade's ending is not wearing red, and her skin isn't white. I'm also not going to believe that it's due to the lighting. There's significant proof in the ending itself that clearly shows a better look of this character having a blue-ish color skin tone. Why would she suddenly change her appearance? Oh, because she's in an entirely different realm, well that's a dumb reason to lose your original look.

3.) We know who Delia is. Like Li Mei, we know who this character is already. Why she would suddenly change character out of nowhere? Why would she also skip out in telling her two sons about a potential danger heading closer? She's got two sons that could help her out, why would Jade be the person she'd go to if there's Taven and Daegon?

And yes, I'm fully aware that Delia has the ability to see into the future. However, that's not enough for me to say, "Yeah, this character is totally Delia." Based on one similar ability doesn't tell me anything that these two characters are the same. No, it's not. It's not her, it's not Li Mei, and it's not Khameleon (before anyone starts pointing fingers at that character as well because it has been done before).
