Although your idea seems to hold creativity. I feel it would not be implimented to such a degree of a mainstream MK game.

I would love some prequels to see how the tournament all began in different realms before the Earthrealm got involved. Like the battle for Outworld and how Kahn first came to power!!! Like he would start out as a Kombatant, and then at the end of the game they would show him crowning himself emperor after defeating "whoever"...lol...That would be awesome!

haha, it'd be funny if they stuck with the canon (i'm pretty sure its canon) storyline with ur idea and after all ur fighting the boss battle involved u poisoning onaga, that'd be the most macho feeling ever haha

I dunno... On one hand it would be kind of cool to really flesh out the backstory and bring the history of the tournament to life. On the other hand, I wouldn't want this at the expense of a real MK sequel. If they had another studio work on it (ala Shaolin Monks), then yeah, I'd be all in favor of this idea.

I actually think that it would be really cool. For one thing, you'd get away from any modern character types, backgrounds and themes. It would put MK in a time that would really allow for a fresh take on the series. I'd certainly be in favor of that. Plus, you know, spandex hadn't been invented yet, so that would be a huge thing going for the game lol.

So yeah, I'd certainly be in favor of this idea, but not at the expense of moving the story forward. I already know what happened way back when and while it might be nice to see the nuts and bolts of how that story really panned out, I simply want to see what's next a whole lot more.
