To those of you who have read the comics... Kitana's backstory sheds light on her late father, King Jerrod and how he was overthrown by the self-proclaimed Emperor, Shao Kahn.
Wouldn't it be great to his his big return? I mean... the guy looked so badass in the comic book.
And I do realise that he's dead..... but how many of the characters in Deception were once dead?
Any thoughts?

We've never actually seen what King Jerrod looks like, unless he appeared in the MK4 comic (which I've not read). There is a headless statue of him in MKD's Konquest mode, that's it.
I don't think Jerrod will, or should appear as a fighter character. But it would be nice to see him in intros or endings, perhaps in a flashback from Kitana or Sindel.

Well, given Onaga's power to raise the dead... nevermind, I don't want to give the MK team any crummy ideas.
I would only like to see Jerrod if the method in which he was revived wasn't as idiotic as past resurrections have been. Liu Kang has given me a bit a faith though... I feel his comeback was well done, so maybe it is possible.
Anyhow, the headless statue in MK:D's Konquest mode also has the head laying near it, so we can see a bit of what Jerrod may have looked like.

it looks like a good new character n i also want sum mk4 characters that wernt in mk5 or 6, in mk7
In my honest opinion, I'm getting just a tad sick and tired of seeing dead characters make their return in the Mortal Kombat series. Johnny Cage was dead, and he was resurrected. Technically, he had the fact that the realms were involved in some huge merger by way of Shao Kahn, so his return was somewhat tolerable. Kano died and made his return, with no real respectable reason backing his return. Liu Kang died, and he came back in Deception.
Personally, I'm beginning to lose interest in the Mortal Kombat storyline, because it would appear that you can't permanently kill off any of these characters. Yes, Midway is trying to satisfy the fanboys out there, but they have to keep a consistent storyline with character deaths and whatnot. If they're not losing sales over the fanboy bitching, then don't change anything. That's what I'd like to see.

Where can I see a pic of King Jerrod?

Hell Yah, Jerrod needs to come back and protect his Wife(Sindel) and Daughter(Kitana) from Shao Kahn.

i think it would be cool to have king jerrod come back to protect his throne and family

He's been in the storyline forever now... I think its about time we at least see him in an intro vid if he's not a playable character in a future MK game.
Think about it... haw many dominant figures are there fighting for the side of GOOD? Well, there's Raiden.... hmm.... thats about it. Fujin could be expanded upon but he doesn't seem to be too popular with the fans.
King Jerrod would be a great addition to the roster IMO. But he would have to look badass.... to compliment his Queen, Sindel.

Yes! King Jerrod really needs to come back. If he came bakc he could probley help protect Edenia(Sindel and Kitana are cool but everyone keeps on attacking Edenia) So yes King Jerrod should come back and be a playable character.
How did Jerrod die anyways?

Shao Kahn killed him and proclaimed himself emperor of Edenia.

Yeah, I saw him in the Defenders of the Realm cartoon for a few secs when I was a kid. From what I remember he looked like some big badass knight guy. It would be cool if they brought him back yeah.
BTW I think it would be neat if they ressutected the original Kung Lao.

if you read that komic you will see that the only way that shao kahn managed to kill king jerrod is by ambushing him from behind while he was freaking raping lin kueis
this proves that king jerrod was probably a badass fighter

Those comics were made by Malibu, not Midway. IF Jerrod ever turns up, either as a player character or in the side story, we can only really guess what he'd actually look like. Midway have never given a clear picture of him, just a headless statue of some guy in a robe. This is also why we will never see non Midway characters like Hydro and Lance make the games.
