Go to ign.com and go 2 super street fighter 4. u can team up on a 4 on 4 battle and watch ur friends play. I think that mode would have been perfect 4 the next installment of mk. What the fuck how in the world street fighter can come out with 2 installments b4 mk can come out with 1. i just think the new modes that street street fighter is coming out with is the kind of modes that the mk franchise needed. What do ya'll think of street fighters new modes 4 mk9 this the link http://www.heavy.com/video/super-street-fighter-iv-new-features-trailer-76160?gclid=CPT_-dvo9Z8CFQ8MDQodWSkQpQ

the only reason there are 2 games is because of the realization that SF4 was lacking...therefore SSF4 has what the first one should have. personally i think its a marketing scam for people to spend more money.

It is a marketing scam. I'd be willing to wager that 90% of the stuff in SSF4 could've been done via download. But I guess that's mildly negated by the fact that it's supposed to be a budget title.
Regardless, when talking about two Street Fighter games coming out before one MK game, you have to put that in to proper perspective.
1) SSF4 is just an upgrade over SF4. It's not a sequel. If it was, like I said before, they would've charged full price.
2) How many MK games out between SF III and SF4? Well, 3rd strike came out in May of 1999. Street Fighter 4 came out in February of 2009. So let's see, in that ten year time span, we got Mortal Kombat Gold, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat Deception, Mortal Kombat Armageddon and Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe.
I'd say we're still winning on that front
Now as far as game modes are concerned, I'm really hoping that MK team finally listens to the fans and stops pouring time and effort in to a metric ton of nonfighting minigames and instead focuses on making a more well rounded offline and online fighting experience.
By that, I don't simply mean more fatalities or even a better fighting system, but also more modes that enhance the fighting experience. Things like Survival mode, tag mode and other ideas that are core to the fighting game experience.
You might argue that "oh everyone else does those modes." You're damn right they do! You know why? Because they're fun! Put in some modes like that, along with a tourney mode and then add a few original ideas. I'll take that over the superflous stuff like tetris or kart racing.

So were winning because we got quantity over quality?
