Looking for a new controller set up. I'm currently using a logitech 310. While I like the layout (feels like a PS3 controller, but with xbox buttons), I really do not like the dpad or shoulder buttons.

I know I can connect my ps3 controller to the pc, but having done that long ago, it just became too much of a hassle (start program, unplug controller from ps3, make sure program notices it., unplugging from PC turns PS3 system on, etc.)

Is there any PS2 adapter I can buy; to play that controller on my pc... but make it think its an xbox controller? Or is there an xbox controller that looks nearly identical (with the same dpad) as a PS2/PS3 controller?

I would prefer a wired connection. Either a PC adapter for my PS2 gamepad is fine. Or buying a wired PS3 gamepad that works with PC is fine. Or a new controller that looks like a PS2/3 controller, but is recognized easily by steam games?

Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
