The current generation of MKs seem to have fallen under a pattern.

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance had a kind of MK1 setting, all the original fighters except Liu Kang and Goro where there and alot of the stages had an asian feel like in MK1.

Mortal Kombat Deception had a darker look and alot of MK2 characters, stages and music.

So do you think MKA might have a setting kind of like MK3. Remember, the key element of Mk3 was the end of the world, armageddon, end of the world, get it? eh? eh? eh??? okay?? eh?? grin

Yes I really think in MKA we may see a pattern as we did in MK3.

Remember how in MK3 for the first time ever in an MK game the gameplay was fastened to the max??? The graphics were not as good as MK2, it turned out, but I'll bet you MKA will have faster gameplay one way or another.

Some fans are even speculating that it may be a prequel, having something to do with MK3 :D. We will have to wait and see if that turns out to be the case...since MK3 does have alot in common with Armageddon.

I agree.

MKA must be apocalyptic, more terrible and chaotic then Mk3 was. A deadly invasion this time. I really think they should focus on that for the storyline, BUT at the same time, let it be deeply involved with the other realms.

The war must not only be on Earth (even though it should be the main war), but also on Outworld and Edenia (plus other unknown realms like Zaterra and the Vampires, etc).
