I was hoping the next installment of MK (by next, I mean, the one currently in development, that being, MK: Armageddon) would be developed for next-generation consoles. You know, PS3 and the like. A release for top and next-gen video cards would be nice, too.
Oh, yeah. FMV endings are a must for next-gen MK games. Text and picture endings just don't cut it. Just have a narrator talking while the storyline is animated with several short to medium-length clips. It's really that simple!
Create-a-fatality? Either the guys are running out of ideas, or, they're just listening to the fans. Well, sirs, I hope that this is one fan that they listen to!

This is the 3rd installment on the current Gen consoles, which was intended by midway just like there have been certain numbers of MK for other consoles.
The future games which will take a while especialy if they do use FMV endings, are full of the new char's and there new stories starting, this was intended to be on the ps2 and x-box from the beginning, midway were completely aware that the next gen consoles were going to be out by the time they released there next instalment, only thing that confuses me is that the price of current gen games will be considerably lower with the newer versions out

I'd say that one of the main reasons that Midway decided to release MK:A on the current gen systems, is that alot more people have xbox/ps2 systems as opposed to the xbox360 which has just been released and the PS3 which is still a while off.
This way they know they've got 20+ million possible customers for xbox and 60+ million possible for ps2 (just rough guesses).
And with Midway being in the shape they're in, they'd be trying to make the most money possible in the shortest time.

That covers it most definately.

I liked the FMV endings in MK4 and MKG. I thought that was awesome. Then, the next game rolled around, and we're back to pictures and text. I want the FMV back....

Hopefully they make the games for Nintendo Revolution.
Well, I wouldn't want fmv in armageddon since I'm pretty sure they need all the space they need to pull this one off properly.
It'll be a while before we see any next gen MK's, but I am sure MKA will hold us, and set us up for an excitting chapter in our fav game.
