IF you herd the news that Netherrealm was taking a brek from MK games, and you were disappointed like I was, then I have good news.

RT @Tyrant_Cenobite @noobde You really taking a hiatus from Mortal Kombat?Noobde: No. NetherRealm is working on MK and non-MK games! :)

So, any ideas as to what the surprises are now?

it means there working on more games then just MK

so MK is actually on pause at the moment while they work on other things..

I think we wont see anything till 2013 when the new movie comes out

2013 would be a good year to release the next game, along with the new movie. I think MK is still their priority so whatever project they are working on aside from MK, i think and hope to god it's still a second role project.

Sounds scary when i hear stuff like: "Maybe a new KI?" Cause actually, coming back with a popular franchise like this one could have the game take the spot over MK, if only the quality was this time to compete.

oh my god people...be patient!! mk9 is still fresh in the market, there is no need for another mk game for now, remember when armagedon was released?? after that game mk vs dc was released too quickly and look what we got, they need at least 3 to 5 years to make a decent mk game, we as fans who give them our money deserve the best game they can create but it takes TIME, stop being so desperate! besides it's xmas time those guys have families to be with, there are many great games coming in 2012, mk9 is a masterpiece and with all the game modes and characters that we demanded, i still play it 3 times a week, ed boon and company take your time, because in the end, all the wait will be worth it.

I hated MK9's modes except for arcade mode so on the other end, i fear the wait wouldn't be worth it instead. But i went nuts about MK9 before it was released like many others and i'm usually the other type of guy. I don't expect much so i'm happily impressed when i love a game. Getting along in the buzz around MK9 was my mistake.

I still think they should better the game or franchise before the end of the current generation but if i have to wait that long, this time i'll wait before jumping to the ceiling when i hear a new MK game is well on the way.

I don't understand why anyone would be disappointed if they did take a break from making an MK game.

That would be a good thing, so that we're not expecting an MK game every other year with horrible game play, graphics and overall quality.

I'm glad they're working on other material than MK, they shouldn't have to be bound to one game, they are allowed to make other games. And if people can't quite seem to appreciate that or understand that, well... What do they know?

I wanted them to have the break so that it doesn't look like they're constantly feeding the fans when they start to get cranky. No one really appreciates a lot from them, as long as they're making Mortal Kombat constantly and giving us news and such... That's why at times, I feel sorry for them, get angry about the fans, and get ridiculed because it looks like I'm "sucking up" to them when they make mistakes.

No one said the video game industry would be an easy field to enter, and I'm nervously getting closer on entering that with my major almost being completed.

@Icebaby

So do you mean you're going to work in the videogame industry? COOL!

Understand this: I'm nuts, i'm a screw up. But i know that like many fans that will complain about a game or the fact that the lead creators decide to take a break, there is only one reason to this most of the times.

PPl that complain are mostly unhappy people.

"Hey, you dudes need to make a game with my fav features and characters in you little..."

They are the reasons for ppl to complain about a fighting game most of the time. So i disliked the MK4 generation but after playing MKDA i was ready to give them all the time in the world to make a new game. Someone that would complain about MK9 or the fact that they're gonna have a break wants to have his own piece of the cake, meaning playing a new game he likes with his fav character(s). So the particular fan would be as happy as everyone. I'm positive i'm somewhat right and i do laught at that even though it means laughting at myself a little.
