Anyways, Noob Saibot better return in a future MK game. They've developed him perfectly (apart from MKA) and his story is open to great possiblities. If he returns, I hope he stays himself and not: .....

IMO that would be horrible.....but if it was to happen, I'd want Noob to keep his shadow/wrath powers only, while still basically looking the same.

Yeah thats exactly what I think. Noob should focus on creating his cyber demon army, maybe form an alliance with Sektor(if he makes it) and wage war against his younger brother , Edenia, and Orderrealm.(current Sub Zero.)

Personally, I'd rather Noob Saibot not return for the same reason I don't want a lot of characters to come back....out with the old, in with the new.

Personally, I'd like to see Noob come back and take on a more Spawn-esque appearance. I'd also like to see see him fill more of a neutral, anti-hero type role.

i think the big picture is being overlooked. Only sub and scorp are going to appear in MK8 which means any games after that are open game to any character they feel shood return. So yes Noob will most likely return in one form or another, maybe not in the next game but possibly a game after.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the only characters confirmed to come back in MK8. Anyone else can still return.

I think he should and will return as a new character. His ending I believe is canon, except for the killing Blaze part. I think he will be something new. I actually had his armageddon ending in mind before the game came out, which is probably why i like it so much. But it makes more since to me, since the next game is starting fresh. There shouldn't be two Sub-Zero's, and I think Noob is just popular enough for people to like him, but not quite good enough to stay as he is.

I wouldn't mind Noob mixing with his past self, it would be pretty interesting to see the outcome. I don't understand what some of you are thinking, you hate all the old characters but don't like it when Midway adds something new.

It's a bullshit attempt to please both the fans who like Noob the way he is and fans who....for God only knows why....want him to become Sub-Zero again.

Not necessarily, I think it's a cool way for Noob to confront his past demons, which could completely backfire and make him more of a badass wraith then he already is!

hmmmm my only concern...then again i tend to over analyze things sometimes is that noob and sub-zero are still two different people, this is just a theory.

Noobs ending says that noob found himself in a darkened area after blazes blast from defeat...my first thought was that he was probably knocked out and was inside his sub-concious mind where the reminants of his old being was aka sub-zero...where they fought for control of the mind and body.

However after re-reading it several times i think it may be different than that. It says that sub-zero came for control of their divided soul so i think that perhaps something like liu kang happened and when subzero originally died his soul was divided into two beings, with liu it was his body and soul seperated into two beings and it was liu's body that transformed not into a wraith but a zombie, and liu was spiritually stable so his soul was intact

I think if the body goes corrupt then it becomes a zombie after death and if the spirit goes corrput then it becomes a wraith.

With subby i think his spirit was unstable so it tore into two, one that is filled with hatred of scorpion for killing him which formed noob saibot and one that was good and remained subzero...so now he came back to challenge noob and reunite his soul...after all the ending DID infact say sub-zero came to gain control of their divided soul NOT for control of their body.

Now where was subby's better half of his sould during MK2-present.....idunno i did say this is only a theory.

I hate character regressions. In comics, when a character goes from good to evil to good, it sucks (Except for Bucky/Winter Soldier, because Ed Brubaker is a genius). If a character goes from one extreme to the other back to the original, it sucks (Unless you're talking about the time the Punisher became a ghostly hitman. Changing him back was the only way I could avoid shooting someone). Same with videogames. If a character experiences a radical change, it should stick. Smoke should not become human again. Reptile should remain devolved. Scorpion shouldn't need revenge.

Noob-Saibot turning out to be the elder Sub-Zero was fine. In fact, I believe I posted a theory stating that before MKD came out. Said theory was promptly rejected. A nice twist, and you could trace it back to MKSZ.

Turning him back into Sub-Zero would suck. Getting the sum of Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero would suck. Old Sub-Zero is gone. We have a much better Sub-Zero in the new one.

As for any good in Sub-Zero's soul, forget it. Hell, MKM SZ basically ends with:
Quan Chi: Mister Zero... Join us, and together we shall rule the galaxy as father and... wait, we aren't related. Oh well, join up, because since your in Hell, you're evil.

Perhaps it was Sub-Zero's fate to become Noob Saibot? I actually enjoy the fact that Sub-Zero is now a wraith. It is a shame that these past few games did not really put much emphasis on Noob Saibot's interactions with the current Sub-Zero who is his younger brother and also Scorpion. Armageddon's Konquest, Shaolin Monks, these games only had Sub-Zero refer to Noob Saibot as his brother. As a fan I was not able to see what was going on in Noob Saibot's perspective.

I also enjoy how Sub-Zero created Scorpion and Scorpion created Noob Saibot. Imagine if the two were to become possible allies? I would like a future storyline have the two clash against each other, if Scorpion's story turned out th e way it did in Armageddon I could most definatley see Noob Saibot playing a role as a thorn in Scorpion's side, in a similar way as how Scorpion was once a thorn in the Lin Kuei's side.
