I think Cyrax will pick up where is old storyline left off. He will be on a quest to regain his humanity and become a good guy.

It's either that or kill him off. If he stays as a mindless cyborg than I don't really see a future for the character.

Well there's no Jax to deprogram him and no OIA to join now.

Well I think NRS is going to try to get back to the status quo somewhat with the next edition. So I wouldn't be surprised to see the OIA come back with Sonya being the sole founder.

As for the possibility of Cyrax becoming human again there is always the Sub-Zero option. Sub-Zero is obviously going to break free from Quan Chi's control and probably become human again, somehow. And I think he would be the guy to help Cyrax reclaim his humanity or at least try to.

I'd very much hope the OIA had more intel than Sonya, whose never portrayed as being very bright (spare legacy & the first movie). But even if not, it's a good opportunity to show the intelligence of the Special Forces division.

See, this is why I think with Jax dead there can be no OIA. Because in order to form it, they'd have to create a new character to do all the brains and tech stuff Jax did in the old timeline. And I don't see them making one like that. More likely Jax will be brought back to life somehow in MK10...and maybe if we're lucky they'll form the OIA late, for MK11...but by that time I imagine it'll be too late to draft Cyrax into it, he'll have already been set on another path.

Maybe his MK9 ending is a hint that a life with the monks is where he'll end up if he's ever freed somehow from the Lin Kuei programming. Though I'm curious how he's supposed to get free of the programming, when no one's ever done it in either timeline without being hacked into by Jax.

acording to ermacs ending, if kahn dies then ermac has free will. so what if kenshi frees cyrax from the lin kuei's control?
