Just a thought, they have already continued with the same story for like 20 years. MK 2011 is going to be a retelling of the first 3 games, what about the next game to be a prequel? Maybe tell the story of Shao Khan's invasion of Edenia? Get a clearer vision of that story and introduce some new characters. Maybe finally have Jerrod in the game. Even if its not about the Edenia invasion a prequel of any of the stories would be cool.
