How about more characters who fight in many different ways instead of having the rainbow palette of elemental magic represented?

Fatality: Rapidly advance an opponent's age until they crumble to dust and blow away.

Time control can work. If there was a new character who from the future or from the realm of time.

MK does not need a Poison Ivy type character whom controls, plants/wood (trees). Nor MK needs a Magneto type either.
As for 'light", they can bring back Ashrah. Tremor or a new character for "earth" powers.

I myself would love a woman with plant powers, a metal/magnetism type of male character and Tremor with earth powers.

A time character could be cool, but only with time powers that aren't like time-travel, time travel makes everything complicated and I don't like that.
