Ok my Mk judgement thing was kinda dumb but i got a newer idead for mk8.

Mortal Kombat: Raiden's Fury

Raiden has found an ancient spell that allows him to control Death. Raiden uses Death as his personal assassin and uses him to kill what he see's as a threat to Earthrealm.

Liu Kang: Has been restored by Nightwolf and wants to find a way to get raiden out of his insanity and protect innocent people.

Sub Zero: Still wanting to purify his older brother he thinks he might find a way to help him by seeking death's powers.

Scorpion; (if still elder god champion(need verification) Has been charged by the elder gods to stop Raiden's madness.

Noob: Wants to enslave Death and make him ressurect people to bolster Noob's army.

Fujin: Being Earthrealms protector he see's raiden as the ultimate threat to humanity.

there of coarse should be other characters but those were the 5 i really want to return.

Raiden is a Sub Boss who after he is defeated your warrior of choice takes the spell and is empowered enough to -

Death is the main boss and will be defeated by your warrior of choice.

I think thats was a better concept then my other one. It seems darker so i tought it would fit with the direction Mk is heading. So tell me what your thoughts are!
