I know there are many here who don't like how Mortal Kombat 9 have the story mode, and prefer Konquest instead. I personally like the story mode because it encompassed a more complete story, featuring all characters, not just one.
That being said, since MK10 will encompassed MK4 to whatever. This is my idea how Mortal Kombat 10 Story Mode intro should be:
-We open just outside of whatever Mortal Kombat concept of Heaven is. I think MK follow a Christian concept of Heaven in that with fluffy clouds and pearly gates imagery.
-We can hear voices. The first voice will be deep one, belonging to the elemental god of earth, who hopefully the MK creator will come a name. He'll be surprise wondering how did Shinnok manage to enter the Heaven.
-Now, we can see inside the Heaven, Shinnok will laugh manically, saying how he once dwell in the Heaven just like them. He also reveal that he had Quan Chi'help. Together they conjured up some dark magic that quickly kill one of the other deities, perhaps the elemental god of water. A fight break out between Shinnok and Quan Chi vs. Fujin, elemental god of fire, and elemental god of earth.
-Shinnok and Quan Chi quickly eliminate the elemental god of fire and elemental god of earth, leaving Fujin to fend for himself.
-Fujin will be the first character, the player control. Fujin will face the two in an endurance match.
-After the match, we will see Fujin manage to get an upper arm on Shinnok and about to go for the winning shot, but Quan Chi interfere. Kind of like how Liu Kang nearly defeated Shang Tsung but Quan Chi help Tsung killed Kang in MK:DA. So now the pair of Quan Chi and Shinnok now gang up on Fujin. And now about to finish off Fujin, when Raiden, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade show up.
-This cause a temporary confusion to Shinnok and Quan Chi on why the others were there. This is is long enough for all four: Fujin, Raiden, Sonya and Johnny, to disappear and flee from the Heaven to the Earthrealm and now prepare for the War against Shinnok.
So what you think? Good or bad way to be intro MK10? All and all, you ever wonder how Shinnok was able to defeated all those elemental dieties before MK4, I know Sub-Zero perhaps already weaken them in MK-Sub Zero but, it was Shinnok who killed them. This story mode intro explore this.
