Think about it man. Have we seen any in-game footage of Jax, Erron Black, Shinnok or Liu Kang despite everyone knowing they're in? No we haven't.


I'm not saying all the marketing works like that. Just looking at this situation it seems like something that makes too much sense. Every single trailer they have released they have hyped up a bit or hinted at. There was nothing at all for this and it came out not long after the leaks from xbox. If they really planned on dropping that yesterday you would think they want to make Tanyas hair & stomach look better.

Neither of us can actually know unless you have some inside source at Netherrealm so it doesn't really matter.

It's great to have different opinions! That's what makes life magical. It's just annoying when that's all you see. Ok, I think we got it, most people don't seem to dig Tanya's look so far...alright, do we really need a hundred people posting "OMGZ SHE UGLIES!" one right after the other? It's redundant.

Let's wait and see more of her before we go freaking out. I mean her fans wanted her in, they get her, and the first thing they do is bitch up a storm. I mean damn, at least celebrate a bit first. As said a billion times- Let's wait to see more of her before we jump the gun, these characters are all in different areas of development. I thought Cassie was atrocious the first several times I saw her, now she looks great.

Tremor made this dlc pack worth it.

..but this dlc pack pretty much guarantees more seasons of dlc characters. Because there will definitely be classic returnees.

These were all cult favorites.

i am an old mk5.org dinosaur. i logged in just to say that i am very excited for this game. ed boon and the team have revived an old passion for all things mortal kombat. i can;t wait to play this game

It amazes me how people piss on someone because they have an opinion that just happens to be negative. Tanya's look is indeed boring and bland. Yes it's cool she's in but her look is boring to some people. Some of you need to get your heads out of your asses.

I hope the male ninja and Kitana and mileena's classic costumes are already unlockables in the game.

Not a huge fan of the goofy themed costumes. If they give Mileena bat wings in her vampire costume I'm not going to know what to think.

Congrats to Tremor n Tanya fans everywhere.Hope The predator has two things1:a cornbread fed pred(ha,that rhymes)skin(super pred)2:Net fatalities/brutalities..even though that might offend Cyrax lol.I'd rather see three red dots for a quick sec than see that net tear through me.If Cyrax is in,he n the pred will have some epic throw downs!!!

Not to hate on Nintendo, but that's likely one of the reasons they're failing so terribly in terms of money and as a console....because they do things against the grain that are confirmed to make tons of money for companies. Does it make them cool in the eyes of their fans? Yes, of course. Is it a smart business move? Not at fucking all.

You people need to remember this; they are not here for our benefit, they are not looking out for our best interests, they are a company looking to make money. DLC makes money. That is that.

I really love that they put Tremor in. I'm sure the petition had a little to do with it, but I get the feeling they just wanted another lore-type character, regardless of his origins.

I think he looks cool and as Minion said, if they can make people love Stryker, why not Tremor?

Let's face it, Ermac was a glitch, Noob Saibot was a play on the creators names, Rain was a Prince reference, etc. Are we really going to look that harshly on Tremor just because he came from a crappy game?

As for the whole "classic" debate and what constitutes a classic character... Please. It's a marketing term. Hell, Xbox had Intersteller listed as "a sci-fi classic" and that movie's slightly less than Trilogy aged.

Maybe it's time you rethink the word. I don't think it's just trilogy characters anymore.

As for characters like Fujin, Reiko, Li Mei, Bo Rai Cho, etc... I hope they make a second batch of DLC, but the whole idea that some characters are more deserving than others? Nah, I don't buy that.. It's all subjective.

I really want Sareena in the game and I think she could be VERY story relevant, but I don't see that as her being more deserving in general. I think that just means that I like her more than many others and can more easily justify her being in the game, partially because of it.

There's no fact-based, predetermined hierarchy of character value and even if there was, a case can always be made for a vast majority of characters.

Either way, I'd really like to see them. But I'm still really happy that NRS got bold with their choices and didn't just put in the MK characters that might sell the most. Who knows, maybe guests allowed them to be more bold in the first place?

While this is true, look to WB's other massive hit franchise; Arkham. 2 Pre-Order exclusives, always has DLC, now does Story Packs. They seem to like their games to follow that model so people might as well just get used to it. NRS's past 2 packs were smashing successes. They're not going to stop all of a sudden.

If they do another Kombat Pack, realistically, I see it being;
1) Trilogy Male
2) 3D Female
3) 3D Male
4) Goro (for those who didn't Pre-Order - because it's practically inevitable)

If it's just 2 more characters like Injustice, then;
1) Trilogy Male
2) 3D Female

No, we don't need to wait that long for Goro. He won't be in any Kombat Pack and he'll still be available for separate purchase in the store for those who don't pre-order. Shaun Himmerick said as much on Twitter.

Also, I'm gonna legit facepalm if Frost or Sareena make it in over Fujin because of arbitrary diversity. Fuck the female character quota.
