No duh I'm saying what does a person story have to do with being a dlc character. So what if she has a bad story in more curious about her gameplay. If she was on the main roster I would say that she should be more flushed out but she is not.

I really don't see the hate for her costume, I think it looks very in character. Her face, as I said can definitely use some tweaking, but it's better than that Michael Jackson meets Willy Wonka thing Kitana had going on in MK9.

Omg yea kitana was ugly in mk9. Tanya's hair is also messed up which I'm sure they will fix. We haven't even really seen her bottom half.

Story clearly matters, since they rolled with what they gave Rain and Kenshi in the last game and made them both prominent characters in the comics. Plus, Kenshi is an important piece of the story in MKX, from what we've been shown.

Can't always think in the here and now. The future is important too.

You can clearly see her character model/design is not finished. It was noted in the MK Kast that DLC characters are still being worked on. Tanya looks unfinished and that is probably the first in-game model the designers have for her. She's probably at about 50% finished. Why she's the only one that looks unfinished no one knows, but it was the same situation with Cassie in the early versions of the game. Character models progress throughout development.

Why show them early? It's all marketing. You want to generate more buzz and hype around the game that is being released in under 25 days. It promotes the game more, and creates awareness about the DLC characters that will be available after the game so people start to talk about them.

Tanya is just dlc. She might not even have a role in the story at all considering some tweets. Also you making assumptions like u know what's going to happen in mk 11. Is skarlet back uhhhhhh no

I'm not interested in Jason at all,but I'm still really happy for the people that practically lost their shit at his announcement.

As for Predator, it's safe to say that a vast majority of us prefer one or zero guests, and while I'm not a huge fan of the character, I'm practically drooling at thought of what his move set variations could be.

Not a huge Tanya fan, but again, really psyched for all the fans that wanted her in, and don't worry... I'm sure she'll be awesome by the time she comes out. I like that they put a post-trilogy character in and I'll definitely try her out.

I really love that they put Tremor in. I'm sure the petition had a little to do with it, but I get the feeling they just wanted another lore-type character, regardless of his origins.

I think he looks cool and as Minion said, if they can make people love Stryker, why not Tremor?

Let's face it, Ermac was a glitch, Noob Saibot was a play on the creators names, Rain was a Prince reference, etc. Are we really going to look that harshly on Tremor just because he came from a crappy game?

As for the whole "classic" debate and what constitutes a classic character... Please. It's a marketing term. Hell, Xbox had Intersteller listed as "a sci-fi classic" and that movie's slightly less than Trilogy aged.

Maybe it's time you rethink the word. I don't think it's just trilogy characters anymore.

As for characters like Fujin, Reiko, Li Mei, Bo Rai Cho, etc... I hope they make a second batch of DLC, but the whole idea that some characters are more deserving than others? Nah, I don't buy that.. It's all subjective.

I really want Sareena in the game and I think she could be VERY story relevant, but I don't see that as her being more deserving in general. I think that just means that I like her more than many others and can more easily justify her being in the game, partially because of it.

There's no fact-based, predetermined hierarchy of character value and even if there was, a case can always be made for a vast majority of characters.

Either way, I'd really like to see them. But I'm still really happy that NRS got bold with their choices and didn't just put in the MK characters that might sell the most. Who knows, maybe guests allowed them to be more bold in the first place?

I don't think you understand how it works. If the leaks weren't happening they probably would have waited a bit to reveal them. The leaks were happening so it was reveal them now and still be able to suprise people or it turns into a situation where everyone already knows what's coming.

Because she has always been one-dimensional. Canon or not, every piece of lore about her (possible exception: MKA ending, she didn't have a bio in that game) has followed the same formula.

How to write Tanya in three easy steps:

1. Establish an alliance with someone.
2. Betray them.
3. Profit.

I want to be wrong this time. I want her to get some actual development because she's among those who sorely need it. I'm just not expecting anything to change.

I'm thinking the guests will give them more money for more dlc characters which is why I am not mad about them.

You got another thing coming if you think the DLC will be released in June. Just look at Injustice. Released in April and Lobo (the first dlc character) was released in May, just under 1 month after the main game was released. I see the exact same thing happening with MKX.

The samurai dlc skin pack is being released day and date with the game's own release as well.

Names could be leaked all they want, but it's not like there's going to be clear visual images of the characters, right? The company could have still waited to "show" what they look like if they're really unfinished.

I promise you that's not how it works. Marketing doesn't just look at online forums and think "gee, they know what we've got. I guess we haven no choice but to reveal it!"

Think about it man. Have we seen any in-game footage of Jax, Erron Black, Shinnok or Liu Kang despite everyone knowing they're in? No we haven't.

You may hate me but I give two thumbs up for the Kombat Pack. All four characters are amazing to me.
