posted05/11/2015 06:02 AM (UTC)byMindStrikesIs there any information on the last gen versions of MKX? like diffrences etc. have seen nothing about it.
I just got an email today from Amazon saying:
"Mortal Kombat X - PlayStation 3"
Estimated arrival date: January 06, 2016 - January 09, 2016"
:There's no way in heck it's been delayed to January. I fear cancellation and that makes me incredibly sad.

Amazon is now saying december 31,2015. I wouldn't trust Amazon,it's very likely they are using placeholder dates.
If we go by what WB officially said,it's still summer 2015.
Though,as of late,Gamestop claimed that WB had told them that it will come out June 2nd,instead.

It is still coming for PS3 and XBOX360 in June and so far it is still June 2. EB/Gamestop as well as a few other stores in my area have this date listed. Amazon will constantly change the date of the game until it is officially released. They've done this before.

You're not being "that guy" we all know - or should know - that they're on their way out. But to announce it and if it ends up being canceled? Just a dick move.
I fondly remember the days when I could get MK3 and UMK3 on me Genesis when the PS1/Saturn versions also came out around the same time. Sure, they were obviously inferior, but they still were fondly remembered. These days except for licensed shiz and sports games, you almost never seen that, especially of the fighting genre.
I don't expect PS3 and Xbox 360 to fade away completely within the next year, though. After all, it hasn't even been two years since the last official PS2 games.

Himmerick stated there would be no content cuts between versions. that's all we know, outside of the traditional "1080p,60 fps" info that Boon stated over and over again.

Just note the guys handling the PS3 and 360 port are the ones responsible for the disaster PC port. I am not sure how the PC port tuns now after the latest patch. Even if the game does get release on last gen. It is best to not have any high expectations for it.
It was a mistake looking back on it to announce it for last gen consoles. Perhaps they were afraid of losing sales. Considering how well MKX is doing without the last gen sales. I think NRS and WB are likely done with last gen consoles assuming they follow through on release this game for last gen. Which I'll be honest I am starting to doubt.
