Probably over-thinking this but......did Jax conceive Jacqui post-metal arms operation? Because there's something "off""about that.

Y'know I understand every character has their detractors, but honestly I'm trying to figure out why the Briggseses are getting so much hate, especially right out the gate. People have been saying they were "roster wasters" since before they were even confirmed. What the hell?

For all things considered I consider D'Vorah and Ferra/Torr as "bad guys" but in this game I see more shades of gray with characters and getting older and alliances changing somewhat... I just really look at everything story mode wise from a step back... And I loveeeee everything I see!


FIGHT!!

I will go out on a limb here & intentionally main the most downtrodden/hated/least "INTERESTING!!!" of characters on the roster. & it seems to be Raiden, Jax & Jacqui. Which will most likely, much to the delight of the majority, die in the story mode & never come back.

During the Sub-Zero beating of Cassie's group (he's seen fighting Kung Jin and Jaquie, then Cassie has the VS non cinematic fight, which leads me to believe she will be the last one standing and having to prove her strength to Sub-Zero), there will be hard reckoning for that Jaquie's punch that some here are bragging so much about.

I know I'm going to take the moment when Kuai Liang beats the crap out of her and make a gif with him asking for the Sektor fight that should've appeared in the game and Jaquie stole by being a skin swap of Sektor (one variation with wrist flame thrower, another with wrist missile launchers, even her X-Ray looks a bit like the initial rocket punch from Sektor's X-Ray).

This was the perfect opportunity to see in glorious next gen graphics the battle for the Lin Kuei, one of the most important 1 vs 1 battles on MK lore. I guess the comics will have to do the trick.

I know Sharefrock doesn't want reasons to hate her but... she totally stole Sektor's show and it wasn't even neccesary.

So far I'm liking Cassie and Takeda from the 4 young protagonists, but Kung Jin and Jaquie have disappointed me in different ways :S

Have to admit Jax looks cooler than ever, but that can be said of any other character in this game, they even made Kano look totally badass. Age has worked well for him and he looks like he has a revamped veteran personality and the most important part, a variation carrying a bazooka on his back (from the trophies image). I know I still won't like him as unfortunately for him all the characters that I had over him (and even some that I had below him) also became cooler and some new cool faces were added to bury him even deeper in my "like" rankings, but the team did a good job with Jax and I can see him getting a few more fans this time.

I've actually always digged Jax and his "American badass" shtick. He's sort of the middle-ground between the facetious Johnny and no-nonsense Sonya.

I remember when the comics were coming out and various pictures were revealed with Forrest and That One Red Dragon who looked like he had electric batons and holographic clones?

I would've been so excited to see a Red Dragon Member that was actually cool and looked cool as well.

A shame it was just a random henchman.

It been said many times why people don't like these two. To sum it up

They are boring
Don't like the way they play
His daughter so far has not shown anything new and interesting
His daughter is just throwing punches like jax
Jax story is not interesting
They have a below average design.
The add on to the characters who are 100 percent good at heart.

One thing I just noticed is that "That was for you, dad" Jacqui fight against Ermac. That was a Story Mode scene, where you finish your fight and the camera goes into the character and he/she says something. But... was that a fatality Story Mode scene or just a normal fatality? idk... I don't think they would spoil Ermac's death like that.... So I think it was just a normal fatality, but that "That was for you, dad" was totally a Story Mode finished fighting scene, so... Jacqui's chapter confirmed? (as if it wasn't obvious).

This again? The only gameplay we've seen of her is her X-Ray and a air defense missile move.

Here's the thing, there are people who genuinely like both characters. It's one thing to say "I don't like them.", it's another to say "they are wasted spots".

When you say the latter, you're pretty much saying, hey people who like this character, your opinion don't mean shit. And it's not like Jax is Sheeva, he actually has a fanbase. And I say that as a Sheeva fan.

Thank you! Jax has been one my favorites since 2, and I'm happy to see him and Jaqui in. I'm personally not fond of Reptile, I have not-so positive thoughts about him as a character, but I wouldn't say he's a wasted spot...

Seriously. It's one thing stating legitimate reasons to dislike a character, but the stupid drive by "Waste of a character slot" comments in every god damn thread is more stale than Jax will ever be.

Never understood why Jax gets so much hate.

There are so many unanswered questions related to the story and I liked the stirring and energetic atmosphere in MKX even though the evil ones would be much stronger as in the previous games .
The only thing I wonder why NRS excluded some iconic characters such as Sindel,Shang Tsung,Noob,Smoke,Reiko,Fujin,Li mei,Frost and Havik besides ;all of them WOULD FIT WELL to the variation ssytem more than the other playable characters in MKX...for example Sindel's and Shang Tsung's variations would be much cooler than Jacqui or Cassie obviously !

She still kinda has not shown anything yet. How is that not true. I would of been fine with jax staying out if the revenants stayed dead. He always added very little to the story which is supposably how they picked the roster. Wait how is 7 even subjective? I think all of u are hypocrites. U ask why somone doesn't like a character and why they get hate they tell u why and all u say is that's not true. Why do people hate kobra. A lot of people don't like jax. That's just the way it is.

Now I'm glad the drive by thread died.
