Hey guys. In case anyone was looking to buy this controller, probably give these two reviews a look. Looking like a no buy for me and maybe save yourself the $50 as well..

Got it yesterday and I played a little mk9 but I'm waiting for mkx. So far when it comes to basic feel, the only thing I don't like are the triggers. I like the playstation r1/l1 more than the clicky xbone ones.

I wasn't sure I cared to begin with, and that talked me out of it. So helpful I suppose, lol...

I remembered with MK9... oftentimes I'd get frustrated, because the D-Pad wouldn't quite read my inputs correctly. And sometimes a move wouldn't properly register. (Standard 360 controller)

SO I was half-open to buying a Controller tailor-made for the game this time, to avoid that... but it sounds like I'd be better off going with the standard Xbox One controller after those reviews. Sounds like the D-Pad is the same, and the other buttons don't respond well and aren't laid out well for MK. And furthermore, they keep remarking on how light it is... and frankly I dislike light controllers. Whenever I go back to an old console like Genesis or something, it throws me off after playing with heavy modern controllers for so long.

I also don't understand why it's wired. Seems needless this day in age. Maybe it's a speed/responsiveness thing? For nitpicky tournament level gamers? I dunno. But as a casual I don't want a damn cord across my living room.

I also don't understand the asymettrical design. Seems the grip for one hand should be good and match for the grip of the other? Iunno.

Anyway yeah, I was already waffling and that talked me out of it. *Thumbs up*

What are your opinions on the missing headset port and the over clickyness and responsiveness of the face buttons?

The headphone port doesn't bother because I use a wireless headset. The face buttons seem fine, it's just the bumpers will feel weird while doing enhanced moves for me. That's just personal preference though because I don't play on Xbox one so I'm not used to it.

The face buttons seemed responsive but mk9 is a slow game in comparison to mkx, that's why I stopped playing. that's where I'm going to test the responsiveness because I can't do all of that perfect legend bouncing around bullshit.

I pre-ordered mine in March but my gamestop is fucking retarded and they keep telling me that they've been delayed to May or some shit, so i'm just gonna order it online. I like the design of it a lot, I used the wwe brawl pad for MK9 so I hope this one feels similar, although the pad is a bit different.
