Yup, number 1 game last week however the chart does not count digital sales. GTA would prob take it on PC downloads. It is however the fastest selling MK of all time! :)

That's awesome! I'm impressed I am surprised at how well MKX has done and this news blew my expectations! More MK for all!

I hope the WB Executives take not and they pull a Capcom and release Ultimate MKX this fall or next spring.

What are the parameters here? I was having a conversation with my friend and he seemed very skeptical... does this mean it has sold the most games of any console game ever? or this year? And it doesn't count digital sales, so people who buy over the PSN network for example don't count? Does this mean it has sold more than the most recent CoD title has for example?

No you've mis-read. Its the FASTEST selling MK of all time not the best selling. That accolade goes to MK2011. Fastest selling means its sold more copies in its 2 weeks of release than any other MK in their first 2 weeks of release.

If it continues to sell at the pace it has been it will be the best selling MK. Not the best selling game of a time.

When it's released on PS3 and the 360, it could possibly hit #1 again for sales that particular week, as there are lots of fans waiting for last gen versions. Eventually when the Komplete Edition is released, an influx of sales will hit again. Also very possible MKX will beat MK9 as the top selling game in the franchise's history and I really hope it does. That means bigger budget for the next sequel and an even better product.
