Armageddon was to wrap up THIS generation of consoles. NOT next gen. Maybe they might end up ending the gam, but we still get mk8 and I'm kinda sure about mk9.

There will be more Mortal Kombats to come...This has already been stated numerous times since the beginning of the year.

so as in this generation of consoles you just mean consoles as in ps2 gamecube and xbox? if so i completely misunderstood and thought it ment new generation as in different characters completely different storylines. i thought that it ment the story line of mk armageddon they all die or sumthing like that .

That's kind of what I thought too. Since the title is Armageddon, I thought that majority of the classic characters would be wiped out and be replaced with some sort of new generation. Either way though, yea I'm pretty sure Mortal Kombat will continue onward.

Okay, the misunderstandings seem to be piling on now. The majority of the characters will die, yes, that is fact, but the series will continue with a new cast on the new systems. It's a wrap up for this generation entirely (systems and characters), and moving on for the future. I hope that that makes more sense now.

k thats what i thought..there are going to be a whole different cast but im wondering if the storyline will be completely different or sorta the same..although i love mortal kombat games i think midway should think up a new storyline
