Now MK Armageddon is gonna close a chapter in the MK saga, so what is gonna happen next?
What is your ideas of a future Mortal Kombat title?

I thought it would be cool to have a look in the past When Shao Kahn first took the throne of Outworld from Onaga. The roster would contain Shao Kahn as the boss, Sindel and Jerrod as defenders of Edenia, this happening while Sindel is still just a princess and Jerrod being a general or Edenian hero, a young(er) Bo'Rai Co, maybe even Baraka... Besides these many new characters should join this battle, fighters who died or disappeared when trying to defend their realm from Shao Kahn's greed. Zaterra, the homeland of Reptile, should main intact at this time, introducing more of his kind. Goro and his race the Shokans could be Kahn's first allies, giving the Edenians another reason to fight.
It would also give some inside about how the MK started and what happened before Earthrealm became Kahn's target...

What do you think?

Personally I would like to see thing change in terms of gameplay. I know that Armageddon will have air combat in it but in the next gen games I would like to see the fighting system expanded on even more. Like grappeling moves, not just throws. Maybe even ground fighting. Every character chould have at least two fighting styles and a weapon. Clothes should rip. Whole body damage models, not just for the face. Broken bones that will affect the fighter movement, speed, power and so on. More move for each fighter. I'm not talking about special attacks. I mean more basic moves and combos. Graphics will obviously be better than they are now, but I want to see the cuts on the fighters, and actally see them bleed. The arenas need to be even more interactive than they are now. Environments can be destructable, so if a character knocks another character through a pillar part of the ceiling may ball, and a rock from theceiling can be used as a weapon. I want to be able to use an even bigger variety of weapons, not just the traditional weapons. Things like tire irons, pipes, things like that.

As far as the story goes, I'm sure that there will be a few characters who will make it to the next gen games, but the story for the most part should be new and fresh, but at the same time don't get to far away from what the story of Mortal Kombat was in the past. Maybe they will continue the story after Armageddon. But those are my ideas for the next gen of Mortal kombat games.

Prologues are cool, but they better not mess things up like in Shaolin Monks.

They should do the battle of the gods - Raiden, Fujin, Shinok et al. before MK. (I think everyone is going for the prequel idea). They could throw in some other gods of course and they could call it... War Gods!, no, that's been taken. God of War! hmmm. I 'll think of something. Gods who fight a lot and bleed a lot!
Yeah, that's the ticket.

I would like to see gameplay mechanics that resemble something more like Tekken. I am talking strictly about the engine. I am not suggesting that they take away the crazy special moves that we all love about MK. That is one thing that really sets this franchise apart. I think the combination of awesome specials and solid ground fighting would make MK the ultimate fighting game.

Revamp the blood and gore system. The gore for fatalities should still be intact, however the in match blood should be toned down quite a bit to look more realistic. The blood we have now looks silly because it looks like giant red leaches moving down the body.

Other than that, just up the graphical quality and come up with some high quality new characters!

I love MK.

for the next gen of MK it would be good to see what happens after armageddon like 4 example liu kang had a child b4 he died in deadly alliance and finds out about it after armageddon the mother could be kitana and the child could have a combination of kangs and kitanas moves.

Jaded-Raven, I like your idea, but only time will tell for the future Mortal Kombats.
