ok people, look, Mortal Kombat is cursed to be divided by eras, like:
we got four amazing games (MK, MK2, MK3 UMK3), and then midway summed it all up in MK Trilogy, then they started another era, they left the 2d MK era, and started the 3D MK era. And so we got MK4, Deadly Alliance and Deception, again they summed it all up in Armageddon. (Note: MK4 does not "make part" of the 3d era, i consider it the "bridge" between the two eras, because you see that it has the 2d gameplay, and storywise it is the continuation of MK3, Liu Kang takes again the place of main character, etc etc. Deadly Alliance started another age, and it is not the continuation of MK4, since its story happens some years after the closing of MK4). So, Ed Boon said that this chapter of the story is finished with Armageddon, and they will start a new era. So, i guess we'll have more three or four games with a new storyline and gameplay, and after those, a sum up game to end that era and start a new one...
