Mortal Kombat 8 will almost certainly find its way to the Wii, maybe even launching on the Wii, PS3 and 360 simultaneously.

The likely hood is pretty slim as theyd have to recreate everything for the game as its all being done for hi-def systems in the unreal 3 engine which wont run on the wii. If there was a ps2 version then i could see it but nah, maybe a port of a psp version could be on the cards, lol.

There will almost certainly be more Mortal Kombat games coming to the Wii, whether or not its a MK8 port, I don't know.

I get the feeling that MK8 is going to be a complete reboot of the series, ignoring MK1-Armageddon, and only having characters similar only by name and appearance (possibly). So they would want to develop a game based on MK8.

There is no reason that a Wii/PSP version of the game would offer inferior gameplay to the 360/PS3 versions.

Mortal Kombat 2 was ported to the 32X. So we know that Midway likes to spread the franchise around.
