Well, I was going over the events of M.K. 2011 in my head and I was thinking about how it may impact the ones that followed. Now, if I'm not mistaken, Shinnok set his plan into motion after observing the events of M.K. 3. Now, even though we don't know how the changes will effect the M.K. 4 storyline it still will most likely occur in one way or another.

Now, Deception begins 40 or so years prior to M.K. 1, meaning Shujinko has already started his quest for Damashi. Now, again we have no idea how the changes will affect the storyline. Shujinko may have very well died and Damashi has chosen another champion; we just don't know. However, we do know that Onaga has begun his meddling.

But what about Deadly Alliance, you say? Well that's my main purpose of this thread. Part of what made Deadly Alliance so interesting is that it hinged so much on past events; it was the result of all the major events before it. However, with the new storyline we face an interesting situation. Liu Kang has already died, Shang Tsung has died, Shao Kahn is already dead which may mean that the alliance between the Edenians and Shokan never takes place, which also means that a dying Goro and Kahn will never make up, which will leave the Centaurians uncursed and among the upper caste of outworld. Furthermore, there's no telling how M.K. 4 will play out for Quan Chi.

So, we may not even have a Deadly Alliance or at least not in the sense we know it, which is a strange thought. However, it is fun to think about how they can remake the events of 4 to Deception. These storys may have already been put into place, but the changed may be so drastic that we get 2+ games after the end of 4 before Onaga's return, simply based off the new ending of 4.

Ultimately, what I'm saying is that the M.K. D.A. slot has the greatest potential of being radically different.

Well what if (after MK4) Raiden has a vision of Shujinko, Onaga, and the Kamidogu. Then he goes to the god of time (new character possibly alternate Fujin) and they go forward in time, brings Shujinko back, and rehide the Kamidogu, where The Damashi needs to find someone else (possibly Monster) meanwhile quan chi finds a new partner or a different Deadly Alliance altogether wow
