More than 4 DLC characters?

What's your guess?

MK9 had four, Injustice had 6.

2 guests and 2 classic characters is pretty much confirmed.

I'm hoping for 4 more classic characters, bringing the total to 8 DLC

I'm *guessing* (and am slightly resigned,) to 6.

What do you think?

Call me spoiled and give me that whole "quality over quantity" speech(which someone will state at least once in this thread) but having only four DLC characters, HALF of which are guests...is pretty sucky.

I at least hope for 8. 6 MK characters altogether and 2 guests. Perfect.

We have at least 4 DLC characters confirmed, and I doubt we will see more than 6, 8 at the absolute maximum.

Eight would be awesome, six would be acceptable, four would be... I dunno... Begrudgingly tolerable, I guess? I know NRS doesn't have unlimited time before the money made from these characters is out of wack with the cost to make and balance them.

But it would seem as though, to my completely untrained eye, that two kombat packs could be done and released within the first six months following release, which seems like solid timing. Isn't the announced kombat pack coming out the same day as the game, or was Boon just Twitter trolling?

I'd throw down $20 for four more characters and some more costumes.

I agree as well, 4 seems pretty lackluster especially because half of them are guest characters.

I hope we at least get another 2 or even better another 4 of which all are MK characters.

Havik,Bo,Fujin and Tanya are all characters that I have a feeling won't make the initial roster.

But DLC will be the perfect place for them.

Although I am hoping for my favourites just like everybody else.

Fingers crossed for Sektor,Rain,Smoke And Kenshi.

I'm guessing the initial pack is 2 guests, 2 MK9 returnee's and after the Kombat pack is completed, then 2 extra 3D characters.

They really should make 2 Kombat Packs, 8 total DLC

KP1= 2 classics, 1 guest, 1 newb (Erron Black?)

KP2= 2 classics, 1 guest, 1 newb (Tremor?)

I just like the idea of knocking the two guests out of the way. So we get them out in the first pack along with two returning fighters and then with the second pack it could be four MK characters. If I had my way-


Pack 1-

Noob Saibot
Smoke
Predator
Spawn

Pack 2-

Fujin
Tanya
Reiko
Li Mei

And if they REALLY want to spoil us-

Pack 3-

Liu Kang

You guys expect way too much, I think 30-32 is the max total roster and depending on if the game has 25 players (as we've seen now) or maybe 27, we will get the 4 and then maybe 1 extra if they sell good enough. I don't know why you have for more, it just means they milk this shit and could've fit them in the game before..the 2 guest characters imo will be crucial, since I couldn't care less about those. Spawn and Predator are the only ones that I like and could fit in this game.

Expect way too much? I don't see anyone saying "GIVE US 15-20 DLC CHARACTERS!"

Most seem to be asking for at least 5-6 characters OUTSIDE of guests. That's perfectly reasonable especially after Injustice.

Exactly. They shouldn't have made 6 for Injustice then. Becuz now the MK Fandom whole heartedly expects at least 6. I also seem to recall reading an article that they were super super close to making Red Hood and PowerGirL. That would've been 8!

Well considering the Kombat pack AND the Goro DLC I guess you could say we have a minimum of 5 at this time.

If I had to guess, we'll end up with 7 or 8. They'll have the initial pack, then Goro, then two characters who are the most highly demanded, similar to Injustice.

Both were popular picks in MK9, have a decent fanbase, usually there's 1 cyborg that makes the cut, and ninjas sell well.

Fujin
Reiko

Both are requested quite a bit these days, and would make sense to bring them back.

Tanya
Havik/Bo/Tremor

Tanya is a safe bet, and I can't decide between the 3 in the last spot on who would likely get the nod.

I don't care about guest characters. Never liked the idea about them, never will.

4-6 classic MK faces is good for me. If Bo and/or Li Mei make the cut, then it would be just perfect.

With Jax, Kenshi, Johnny, Sonya pretty much confirmed, I hope for: - Baraka - since he is in the game, but not that relevant to the story probably - Kabal / Havik / Fujin - Noob Saibot / Tremor / Smoke

LOL Yeah but KI is essentially just building a retail game season by season, tho I get your point. If I had my dream pack though, it'd be;

Kharacters; Shang Tsung, Cyrax, Rain, Tanya, Fujin, Bo, Reiko & Havik
Arenas: 4 new, Kombat Tomb, Lung Hai Temple, Quan Chi's Fortress & Reiko's War Room

All I want are Smoke and Reiko.... or just Smoke... It would be a shame to turn Smoke into such a popular character in the last game as well as set him up with an interesting story in this game, and then not include him....
