This is pretty much a lock, I think.

Every DLC skin for Mk9 was a palette swap, obviously. I don't have any higher expectations than that for MKX.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the Superman and Batman of MK. Superman had 9 skins and Batman had 8, while others only had two or three. So, I think it's safe to say that Scorpion and Sub-Zero will have the most skins compared to everyone else. Is it unfair? I sure think so.

Without question... I'd like to see new skins. In equal amounts for every character...

However...

I enjoyed the Klassic skins a lot, and wouldn't mind seeing them come back in MKX. Though I doubt they will.

I imagine the MKX models sport an even more complex internal anatomy than the MK9 ones did... for the purposed of X-Rays and Fatalities. So importing them directly likely wouldn't be a viable option. I suppose they could be remade or retrofit to MKX, but I honestly doubt they'd put in that kind of effort.

Still, they were a fun nostalgia touch.

I like seeing the characters get new looks each game... but by the same token, I like seeing throwbacks to old costumes turn up as alts.

If you're going to do the Klassiks (Though I hope they don't) again the least you could do is give Mileena her MK2 Klassik this time

I'm hoping for at least 2 alts per fighter on disc. Then DLC skin packs. They'll probably have themed packs since scorpion already has Gold and Cold War.

I'm predicting some sort of themed "Monster Pack" where Scorpion has his flaming skull, Reptile is in full Lizard mode, and SubZero is covered in Icey spikes.

im thinking everyone will have 2 costumes like always. scorpion will have more because he's scorpion. the "themed skins" in the kombat pack makes me think retro pallet swaps or the street fighter style themed packs. sounds like more will be sold to me.

I can live with "more than MK9, less than Injustice". While I'm hoping EVERY character gets a fair shake with skins, we all know for damn sure that Scorpion and Subby will get the majority. I'll buy everything they throw out there either way though. The more the better, but here's hoping for some variety.

What I actually really really loved about MK9 was that the alt costumes, for the most part, actually got incorporated into story mode. That was a great touch imo... and helped add to the idea that these characters were real people, who ya'know... change their clothes.

Too often alt costumes are just throwaway looks that have no actual relevance to the real game. It was nice seeing them actually incorporated into the story... and many of them were as prominent as the main looks.

I only expect that to happen even more in MKX, now that every character will likely have more than one costume, each of which will have 3 sub-variants.

I really enjoyed that as well. In fact, I found a lot of the alts better then their mains. That would be the immediate alts, not classic skins.

I'm curious about how the variations will affect the alternate skins. Like, can D'Vorah have an alternate skin without a cloak since her Brood Mother variation is presented hood down. Will there be a mask-less Sub-Zero and what happens if you use Unbreakable with that skin?

Costume swaps would be a fun idea.

Example: Kitana would be wearing Cassie's suit but still have her hair the same, moves the same, etc.

More than MK9 less than Injustice? Awesome. MK9 had 2 per character, not sure about Injustice...but 2 costumes per character is already brilliant. 3 for some would be incredible.

Story wise it makes brilliant sense too. Take Sub-Zero for example, when you first play as him (In story) you play with his first costume and the Cryomancer variation in the NetherRealm War Arc. Then you play in his second costume and Unbreakable variation during the Civil War Arc. Finally you play as his third costume and Grandmaster variation during the final portion of the story.

Lots of potential with 3 costumes and 3 variations. Hope I'm right!

Would anyone like it if, the Sub-Zero we saw in game-play is Bi-Han (main), the alt would be from the comic (Kuai Liang) and his third being a merge of the two from MK9 (Noob/Cyber-Sub)? The third would certainly be far fetched.

I know everyone will have alts on disc, but if there are DLC skins (which there definitely will be), I hope they include a classic for most of the characters. Like if Fujin is in for example, I would LOVE for him to have a MK4 alt. It's definitely my favorite costume of his and I really hope he returns in something similar to it or gets it as an alt. Anyways I hope every character receives something like that, and not just Scorpion/Sub. I'm over the palette swaps at this point and I wanna see something new or classic that isn't just the same costume colored different.

I would gladly pay for something like a MK4 classic pack, returning costumes for Fujin, Shinnok, and Quan Chi or something. Just something that isn't goddamn palette swaps. lol

I can dig it. I'd even go a step further and have a new mode... Kreate-An-ALT. Then when u go to select the costume for your fighter, the Alt u created would be listed as "Kustom"

I'd like that as well but I guess we will end up with Scorpion and Sub-Zero having about 5-7 costumes and the rest will get 2-3.

I loved that costume. Always will.

I hope we get all their MK9 & MKvsDC skins as a bonus, it would almost be effortless to add them for us. Scorpions Injustice Skin should be added to MKX too. And truly komplete this time like Mileena's MK2 Skin that only the PS VITA got.

10 bucks says the women will each have an alt that will be skimpier and similar to those of MK9.

Scorpion will get 7 Sub Zero, Kitana , Mileena, Sonya, Cassie 4 everyone else will probably get 3
