Actually with recent news, they've made MK VS DC a non-canon game... So no, this is NOT MK 8! Thank you ^^

don0't care if MK vs DCu is MK8 or not,all i care is that the next game will be rated M.
they 'll going to follow the path we want

1)totally new roster of 24-25 characters,half will be hidden/unlockable;6 or 7 of them will be returning characters(and i bet they will be Scorpion,Sub Zero,Sonya,Kitana,Kenshi,Quan Chi,Rayden and maybe Fujin or Motaro)
2)at least two gory and painful fatalities per characters,hoping for a Hara-kiri and animality.Babalities,firendships and brutality luckly should notreturn
3)the atmoshpere will be really Dark,based on ancient chinese mythology,and i bet will have infernal enemies such as Demons,etc.I don't exclude the chance to finally see Lucifer in a MK game
4)deathtraps,multy-tiered arenas(without free fall kombat i hope) and stage fatalities,a lot more than Armageddon and deception
5)a real detailed and important story mode,which will explain the story of every character
6)totally new gameplay from MK vs DCU,with improved klose kombat and without free fall kombat
7)CGI endings
8)mk4 arcade version will be playable as extra

if the game will have this elements will be a masterpiece for sure

Lol I'm Watching the Discussion right now on game trailer tv! it looks nice, i hope ill get a ps3 before its comes out :P

I for one am not hoping for an all new cast. One of the things that got me disinterested in Tekken was the constantly changing roster. I like story lines, and characters a lot... so I like seeing my favorite characters make the cut.

Let's bring back the important characters, and really end some old story lines (like MKA didn't.)

CGI-endings... and have some of them be canon. Once again, not like Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Though I also wouldn't mind the MK:DA/D style endings.

I'm hoping that Shang Tsung is the primary villain. He is my favorite boss character, and has such a personal feud with everyone that he'd be great for the game.

Sonya and Kano are a must for me at this point. They need to end their feud one way or another. Personally, I think Sonya should win this, and "kill off" Kano for a while. Their feud has been around since MK existed, and needs to have an awesome ending.

Have either Liu Kang or Kung Lao in the game (preferably both.) MK:DA was a disappointment without Liu Kang, and MK:D was also a letdown that Kung Lao wasn't in it. They're the ideal good guys.

Introduce maybe five new characters tops. No more than that. Keep in Kreate a Kharacter. Get rid of the useless race mode, and put Puzzle and Chess back in.

They have said before that they wanted to start over with new character, keeping only a few like scorpion and subzero and killing the rest

i hope they scrap most of the old and go with some new guys. sure, scorps and subby will be in it, but let's get a big infusion of new blood. more fatals, hara kiris, and keep the dial a combos out.
