Killer Instinct is from RARE not Midway as I recall.

Crossovers generally are a bad idea.

Yeah, only in comics, and those are not so good either. One franchise usually gets pissed at another because their franchise was dissed.

Anyway, Midway would have to make an agreement with Rare in order to do this. Not the MK team and the KI team. Plus, this game would be bland, imo. That's why Marvel vs. Capcom is Marvel vs. Capcom, not X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

So, it would really be, Midway vs. Rare.

the MK franchise is that saga that you will NEVER see in a crossover. i mean, the MK universe is much more deeper and serious that the stories of other beat'm ups. or, are you imagining a game where Jin Kazama and Hwoarang are fighting the dark forces of outworld?? lol that would be ridiculous. man, if the MK saga had to have a crossover game, it would have been in the 2d era, and it would certainly be Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter, or Midway vs Capcom, as you want. the MK story is impossible to mix with the stories of any other game. put this in mind.

If it happen to be I would like to see :

1.Glasius
2.Thunder
3.Tj
4.Fulgore

and ofcource all of the others

And this theory of MK 'VS' KI, perfectly fits booN's words - that they'll make something we never expect.

P.S. I would do voodoo magic on the mk team and especially on booN if they make MK vs SF instead of MK vs KI wink

I recall Ed Boon talking about doing a 2D MK vs SF sooner or later and he said maybe for 2008.

good then, i prefer this, over MK vs KI. a million times. KI sucks litterally, it is just the realm of button smashing.

well, its just that i played Killer Instinct Gold on the N64, and i lost every single fight against a friend of mine, and he just hit the buttons at light speed with no order at all. He almost broke the pad. Then i ventured in the arcade mode, and the opponents used always the same specials/combos, giving me no time to perform any at all.

Sorry to say but there was a X-Men Vs Street Fighter game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Men_vs._Street_Fighter

As for me I haven't played a Killer Instinct game. But their art styles seems some what similar. So they wouldn't look completely out of place standing next to each other.

But other than that, no they probably shouldn't. At least until there is some news of a new Killer Instinct game at least.

Yeah, but read the first sentence of the article.

It says:

X-Men vs. Street Fighter (known as XSF to Street Fighter fans) is an arcade game released by Capcom in 1996 and is the first game in the Marvel vs. Capcom series of fighting games.

It's still apart of the whole "Marvel vs. Capcom", meaning that they can't just have one game called X-Men vs. Street Fighter, because according to Copyright, it can't be done. Both of those series are apart of companies that have to make the agreement as a whole.

Plus, I just used the whole "X-Men vs. Street Fighter" as an example.
