MK Trilogy 3DS?
Entire Trilogy cast rendered in 3D along with 3D arenas. Fighting would stay within the 2D genre, while the fatalities, brutalites, grab moves and weapon attacks would take advantage of 3DS' capabilities.
Every character would have all of their outfits spanning MK 1 through MK3. Every ninja, while retaining their popular characteristics (smoke, color changing, frozen arms etc) would be able appear as an MK 1,2 or 3 ninja.
Special moves would be a mix of classic and more recent techniques.
In addition/afterthought they should give the game a kreate-a-tournament feature. As well as tag team and other popular modes.
Well... I know I would play it.

It would be so unbalanced that it would be unplayable, factor in the fact that the MK1 characters can't do as much as MK2, who couldn't do as much as UMK3. and there would be about 100 costumes if you factor in the mirror characters.
of course, we don't know much about the CPU, but if you compare it to the DS and DSI, it might be capable of the original MKT, maybe including both Chameleons and taking out the MK1 Raiden, and Kano and MK2 Jax and Kung Lao.

Actually, now that I remember, the 3DS Probably has about the same processing power as a Nintendo 64 (because they are releasing a few NDS Remakes), I also remember that the N64 version of MKT was somewhat limited.
In other words, I still don't think it would happen.

Actually, it's got the processing power of a Gamecube. Don't forget that these games are remakes, not ports. The original DS had N64 ports (for example Mario 64 DS).

In that case, I return to my previous argument...

Oh heck yes!!! This NEEDS to be a game!!!
I love MKT just about as much as any other MK game!!! But yeah the problem is can the DS support such a game in it's format? I think it can.

How about release it for PSN & 360 instead of going the Nintendo exclusive way?
I'm tired of all this 3DS shit, they already have good exclusives going their way and it's not even released yet.

The 3DS could play MK Armageddon and then some. Srsly it can play MGS3 on it so I'd guess a game like MKT would be very easy to handle

He wasn't just saying MKT, he was saying an updated MKT with every outfit of every 2d character, which, to me, means delving through every sprite of MK1, 2, and 3. which would kind of suck for MK1 characters if they are just meant as alternate outfit

This idea is great, what can be better than a new mortal kombat on a new nintendo portable. Lets just hope when they do release MK on 3DS they take it seriously, not some buggy weak sauce mess.

You guys realise that super street fighter iv is coming to the 3ds right ? Considering that 3d is already a built in feature of MK 9 on ps3, I think its safe to assume we will see a MK 9 port to the 3ds. If they can port ssf4, they can port mk9. Dont forget that 3d display usually means downscaling resolution and detail, making it easier to port.

Super Street Fighter 4 3DS are def nothing special from what I saw. I guess the 3d aspect should make up for that tho. It would be nice to have an MK from the ground up just for the 3DS.
