i don't know about that, for all the unknowing people know they might think it is just a 3d mk, it'd have to say it's not a remake on the back or somewhere on it.

Still, overall i'd rather have a subtitle than just mk.

'Mortal Kombat' would be alright with me. Nobody is stupid enough to confuse it with a game released 15 years ago.

Having Mortal Kombat as the title would be alright with me because it could mean the start of a new beginning for next- generation systems.

It depends what they are going to do with the new game's storyline. Is it a direct sequel to Armageddon or is it a complete fresh start?

If its a direct sequel to Armageddon then it should have a little subtitle. Mortal Kombat: Blanking Blank.

If its a fresh start, then having just Mortal Kombat would suffice.

But the problem with that is *IF* this game doesn't meet the majority of fans approval then they will preach about how this game ruins the reputation of the original title. Just ask poor Sonic about that.

How so? Nobody even calls 'Mortal Kombat' by that name. They say 'Mortal Kombat 1' or 'MK1'.

And I'm sure fans would just call the new game 'Mortal Kombat 8' or 'MK8'.
