The only original Malibu character I liked in the entire MK run was Bo. The rest were godawful.

I think 1 clue that NRS won't cannonize the MK Malibu Comix is the God of Chaos. In MKD's Konquest Mode, we r told the God of Chaos is named "KochaL" and not Zaggot. But they could've just changed his name since Zaggot rhymes with a very vulgar word.

MK Legacy had an episode with Hydro, a Malibu original. But MKL isn't cannon either. LoL

Who made the MK4 comic? Was it Malibu as well?

It wasn't Malibu. They lost the license after the series folded in 1995 and Marvel bought them up a year later.

KooL. I figured it wasnt Malibu. The MK4 comic was actually pretty damn good. I Loved how it bridged MKmSZ with MK4. Damn, that was such a great time in MK history. LoL

The story was good but the artwork sucked. Plus Reiko had all of ONE panel.

This is true. But at the time, nobody knew who Reiko was. His ONE panel definitely made me curious. Now he's one of my favs

I would accept Hydro ONLY as an expendable NPC in Story Mode or Challenge Tower. But never in VS Mode Kuz we have Rain. I'd tolerate an Alt Skin for Rain too, but it would have to be free. LoL

Hydro in our world means electricity. So Hydro in MK could have both water and electricity specials. However, we already have Raiden, so that wouldn't be an option unless Hydro would have different ways of using the electricity.

Give him a connecting special move or fatality where he raises a pool of water underneath his opponent, then electrify the pool of water with electricity.

Hydro was included only as generic Lin Kuei cannon fodder who would be bumped off by (surprise) Scorpion. In other words, he was useless.
Bo, on the other hand, positively rocked. His take-no-shit attitude and kicking Goro's ass in Liu Kang's office was the shit, as well as him defeating Reptile with a broken arm in the second tournament and then sitting on him afterwards.
He was the only original character Malibu got right.
