Mini games according to character?
I was thinking in the next Mortal Kombat game we get rid of that godamn Konquest mode and expand on each of the character's following their own path rather than showing the perspective of one introduced character in the Mortal Kombat universe.
So as a way to tell the story and include the great Mortal Kombat experience we all know and love by playing arcade made I thought about a different kind of mode that uses mini games and cutscenes and bring back the meaning of "Choose Your Destiny"
I hope that some of you remember a game called Bushido Blade 2, this is the kind of effect I am going for, in that game you run into specific characters and depending on the actions you make decides if they live, thus "choosing your destiny and also unlocking cool shit along the way. My idea expands on that in the next mortal kombat You play through around 12 rounds of regular combat in this mode and each fight adds more on to the plot of the character and shows you interacting with the characters of the game that go according to your story. No more of this guessing stuff, becauese if there is one thing about Mortal Kombat, it is that damn wait untill the next game is released to see what happens to your favorite character during that acutal game. I would like to think of the concept of this mode to be that of "context sensitive" meaning that you as the player can alter the path of each character but still have them reach their goal which is the boss according to what alliance they are.
I'll give an example for a cutscene and a mini game experience that can affect the story of your character.
Jax's Story Stage 8
Shao Kahn's Court Yard
You have just defeated Kintaro and you chose not to perform a fatality on him. Kintaro enraged at his defeat begins smashing the pillars that surround the arena. In the distance you have Sonya Blade unconcious due to the video before the Kintaro fight with her being knocked out. Jax runs to Sonya's rescue before a pillar falls and smashes her unconcious body. Jax manages to slide under the pillar just in time and hold it up so it does not fall on top of Sonya. Kintaro however throws a fire ball that burns Jax's back and he is weakened by the burn. Jax is now struggling to hold up the Pillar and he has a choice either he holds the pillar up long enough for Sonya to escape and both of them escape. He let's the pillar fall on him and sacrificees himself (GAME OVER) or he can't withstand the pressure any more and he lets the pillar go thus killing Sonya and having to live with it. "CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY" So now you go into that mini game where you have to repeatadley tap a button in a time limit and having Jax grunt and scream just to hold up the pillar. And let's say you can't tap the button fast enough so you fail but you still have a choice by either pressing left or right by letting the pillar fall in eitheir direction, either on top of you or on top of Sonya. Pressing left lets Sonya live but you die, or by pressing right you collapse on the ground and the pillar falls down next to you but on top of Sonya. So you press right because who wants to end their game right?
Then you have a new video of Jax screaming in Agony that Sonya is dead and Kintaro is missing, so now he could possibly return as a Sub-Boss that you can fight later in the game, it all depends on how each round is played out.
What do you guys think about this concept of this new mode?

it sounds cool but would they be able to do that to more than 60 characters.
when they did the mini game motor kombat it was really short as it had only a few levels and cars

I think Konquest shouldn't focus one charater, and instead have all the playable characters useable.

I think you should be able to play as any character you want

are u 8 or something?
anyways. no this is stupid, someone already mentioned this once and it got nowhere. the thing about this is that it won't be mortal kombat anymore it would be a huge adventure game starring every character from mortal kombat. the point about konquest is the main hero of the game in their own story, there will never be a mortal kombat game where it will feature sixty people having a huge story u must play through three good reasons why:
1. there will not be enough room on a disk to make such a thing happen
2. it will lose interest real fast big time
3. it will never happen not even if u beg.
so im sorry if i'm raining on ur parade but still, this will never happen and a thought like this should never be brought up again. and no im not pmsing

I wish future Konquest modes would let u play as whatever characters u want.
U know how in MK:DA's Konquest u had to pick a character and then you'd get to learn about them and train with them? Well it would be cool if they could do this for MK8 except when u select a character, you learn about them by undergoing a free-roaming interactive mission for that character that teaches about the character and how to fight with her/him.
This is very possible if they keep the missions per-character short, of course. For each character to have a 4-hour-long journey like in MKD or MKA Konquest would be impossible.
Personally, I doubt they'll ever make something like this, though.
