Well, the only reason I said not roster worthy at the start is that he's more a joke character, like Mokap. I mean sure he has a story now as an incomplete abomination, but he is what he is; just a fun alt costume from MK4.

And speaking of alternate costumes, as fijikungfu mentioned already, Meat could return as just an alt costume for every character. And, honestly, I almost like that better. Would make for some interesting intros...

Actually Meat only became a character in MKA.
In MK4 was just a joke costume for any character.
Even in MKA, his story was pretty weak and lame..
Since I don't think Shang Tsung will be in this game, there's no point on putting Meat on it.

The characters that I think should really be cut out, and never be used again are :
Meat, Frost, Mokap, Moloch, Dairou, Darrius, Kobra, Kira, Hsu Hao, Jarek and Blaze

No just no, under any circumstances what so ever this clown is in no way shape or form even close to worthy of a roster spot. Meat should stay as far away from MKX as possible.

I don't mind the presence of a single joke character in my fighting games, and Meat has and always will be the one for MK. He's gross but hilarious; fits the tone of the series. He works, whereas Mokap just comes off as dumb.

I'd pick him up in a heartbeat, especially if they gave him that hilarious accent he had in MKS's Konquest mode. They should give him a full-on London accent.

Why cut the Oni?

I see them as Onis important part of Mortal Kombat. And a Blue Oni heavy is necessary (although Moloch could be replaced by another Oni well).

Frost and Kira could keep rework to the point of almost being another character.

Small correction here. The game is not just going to be about MK4, but probably MKDA and MKD as well. Maybe not portray the same events in this timeline as in those games but my point is, they are gonna have all post-MK3 characters to choose from. Not just MK4. Which imo makes it clear that Meat has veeeery slim chances of making the cut.

Lighten-up, folks. I am aware that Meat isn't really a serious character, and that's why I proposed he should be DLC rather than in the game from the start. There's no doubt MKX is going to be one of the darkest MK's we've ever seen, but not everything has to be ZOMHGRIMDARKDERP. At least as DLC, those people who feel Meat dilutes MK in some way don't have to purchase him. It's not like I'm demanding Meat be in the story and be the protagonist, or that he should be the boss of MKX, or that he needs to be relevant in any way beyond a short, "haha" bio-blurb.

Just a fun additional character or skin making use of the Gore Tech. You know, like how Meat was in MK4? A fun alt costume any character could wear? For shits and giggles?

Also, projectzero00, yes I am aware that MKX will be going into more than just MK4. However, since it *will* be heading into MK4 at least a little (whether the same events occur or not), I just thought it might be fitting to see Meat make an appearance, since he debuted in MK4 afterall.

I'd like to see him in the Challenge Tower, or MKX's equivelant of that mode. But not I see no reason for him to be in the game as a playable character.

But on a more serious note, come on, it's Meat! You all can't tell me you didn't occasionally play as Meat in MK4.

I only did when I tried out the code for the first time. I think I was Fujin... or you had to start on Fujin to activate it... or something like that. But other then that time, nope.

I did however play him a bit in MKA. He's a good joke character fitting into MK, but he's not a character I would want to take up a spot on the roster over any of the other characters, or even potential new characters.

And as a DLC skin I'd have to pay for? Hell no. Waste of money, imo. If he came as a free skin or something, then sure, but there's no way in hell that I'm going to spend money on getting it.

I never played as meat (and never will). Not in MK4, not in MKA. To me he doesn't exist.
