Lucifer was the original ruler of the Netherealm, whom tormented Shinnok for thousands of years. After Shinnok formed an alliance with Quan Chi, they waged war with Lucifer and his minions for centuries, and eventually won. They defeated Lucifer.....but did not kill him.
My question is, would you ever want to see the return of Lucifer? Personally, I think he would make an awesome "final" boss in a future MK game. Him being pure evil, he would want to end all existence that the One Being created, and start his own universe of chaos, torture, destruction, and hate.
Unknown to all, Lucifer has been biding his time and power in the lowest plane of the netherealm where no soul can go. Even the greatest of evils cannot exist in his throne. When Lucifer strikes, it should be unexpected.
Possiblities are endless for his story. After the defeat of Blaze or an even bigger boss, our main characters (heroes), join together to celebrate their victory. They think everything is well in hands until the bright yellow sky starts to stir up black clouds that strike green lightning. The sky eventually turns pure red and the dark clouds begin to form a massive devil-like face.
Raiden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion; everyone else looks up in the sky in terror. Lightning starts to hit certain things around our heroes that causes fire and destruction; that's when Lucifer speaks.....saying that he cannot have mere mortals from the forces of good change the universe and exceed his power. Lucifer explains that he will be merging the netherealm with all realms until all is one, starting with Outworld. Once that is complete, his most vicious and powerful demons will start to take over. After blowing a huge portion of lava at our heroes (just to scare them), he disappears.
First thing.....Lucifer would be after the Elder Gods (whom can all now have an actual involvement in the story). His main goal would be to shatter the One Being; then slowly start his domination. For our cast of characters....I'm guessing the good guys would be first since Lucifer would probably want a temporary alliance with certain evil characters that pledge
their allegiance. Shinnok and Quan Chi would be on the run.....
For Lucifers look, he would have the satan goat head with long swirling horns; the body of a man. His feet however, would be a Minotaurs hoovers that are used for powerful kicks and speed. His sclera is red and his pupils are black. He has long sharp teeth and a cobra's tongue, as well as long sharp black nails. He is tall like Shao Kahn and has a big dark purple cape. Lucifer also has his own special type of weapon that he uses for dark magic....and that's his star cane. It's a long cane with a star amulet on the top. The amulet is used to taint people with evil, transform beings into rabbits; all other types of things that cause great suffering.
Special Attacks: Apart from his amulet, Lucifer also has a variety of powerful attacks. Most involve lava and dark shades of powerful flames, but Lucifer can also spit huge snakes from his mouth that wraps around his victims and slowly sufficates them. Lucifer can also teleport with ease, making him a formidable foe.
Just some of my ideas. So would you ever want to see the return of Lucifer? Why or why not? How would you involve him in the story if you wanted him to return? Feedback would be great.....and feel free to share your ideas as well (including looks and moves) if you want to.

I'm not a Satinist or anything of that sort , but I would love it if Lucifer was involved in a MK game for once! I mean people have been talking about him being part of MK since before(maybe after) Shinnok was made a playable character. I think Lucifer could fit into the Mk8 storyline, if Shinnok returns as his opposition, maybe they wage war over who gets the netherealm. Also, maybe that Belokk character that was supposed to be in MK4 could be Lucifer's second in command, but maybe not because another company used Belokk as a character's name apparently.

Yeah I was thinking that too......If that Belokk character could still be made, I'd probably have him as a general for Lucifers army.....or maybe Baphomet.

Hachiman could be a very important character one day.(He was from a sketch from MKDA)

Yes Dark_NoOB! Awesome, finally someone else agrees that Lucifer should be in the future of MK. I like your thinking. You should check out my Fan Submission, Game Concept: MK8 A New Evil, it involves Lucifer and his subordinate, Emperor DeSade.

I think Lucifer could pretty much fit into anyone's story. I could also see him having conflict with Noob Saibot and his cyber demon army, maybe he tries to gather some of Lucifer's minions on his side and maybe Belokk or whoever Desade is would go after Noob and try to kill him.

If Lucifer were ever to return, I would want a 2 or 3 game build up...Not him just him comming out of Nowhere one day!
Ex. The Return of the Dragon King was being built up in MK4 and MKDA.
I would like to see him as a major Threat/Boss in a Future MK game, just build it up....

RaisnCain - Your Lucifer concept is awesome, I just finished reading it.
I also agree with Lucifer having a conflict with Noob Saibot and his cyber demons. It could be a massive showdown or a powerful alliance...who knows.
Something about Lucifers presence should be known from ahead of time, that way he does indeed have time to build up.

Thanks man! But, I to agree that there needs to be a build up for Lucifer's return as mentioned by Barakaz_cuz. However, the Lucifer concept should have begun to be built up in MKA, but of course, no story exists!

I don't see Noob saibot having a chance against the Pure Embodiment of Evil...He can't get a better Weapon besides a rock on a stick for Crying out loud!
lol :P
I think an Interesting way to Bring back old Favorite Villans for Future MK Games is to have tham Resurected by Lucifer to serve him, but Altered in a way. (Like Jax's Anger problem due to him being ressurected by Onaga.)
The List for his future Servants can include anyone who is definately going to Hell when they die or will already be there:
Shinnok
Quan Chi
Reiko
Shao Kahn
Noob Saibot
Moloch
Drahmin
Mileena
Tanya
Kira
Kobra
Mavado
Hsu Hao
Onaga
Baraka
Reptile
Kabal
And the list goes on of course!

Hate to break this to you, guys, but Mythologies states Lucifer was just another demon like Drahmin, Moloch, Sareena, etc. in the MK universe, one of many rulers born in the pits who took the throne by killing the previous one before Shinnok came along, not the fallen angel from Christian lore.
In fact, Shinnok himself's background is more like that of Satan's fall from grace. MK4 was the game where the villain is The Devil, and Midway blew it by not giving him good moves.

Yeah....but I'd still consider him a very powerful foe, especially after ruling the netherealm for thousands of years (plus, we don't know exactly how long he was ruling before Shinnok came anyways.) To have a name like that....or to even have a name in MK around the Elder Gods time is enough importance.

Well said, this is the impression that I was still under.
Though this would help set a darker tone for the next MK, it is really the same scenario that we've seen in the past. The next MK needs to be taken in a completely different direction or perhaps returned to its roots.
Lucifer's conquest would make for an interesting side story I think. You're right that there are numerous conflicts that he could be involved in. Maybe Noob (depending on MKA) or a power driven Drahmin, but I still would think of him as a minor character.

However, do we know if this is 'cannon' or not? We still have no idea if anything in MK is hard cannon material. I am not dissing your knowledge, I am just saying. After how I saw MKA has been portrayed, anything can happen, imo.
I believe Lucifer will get his fair share of respect in MK soon enough.

I agree.
Here are some pics of what Lucifer would look like:
The wings is not bad.....however, the body size would obviously be alot bigger.
I like this one alot because he looks pure menacing. Perhaps Lucifer could also transform too a more monstrous form for his final showdown when he's at full power/pure angered state. But even still, I think the second is the best.
What do you think?

To Dark_NoOB: Nice pics, except that last one totally kicks ass.
I don't know Chrome, I mean anything can happen in MK. I think Lucifer will have some importance in MK, no matter how long it takes. They are bound to run out of crazy non-cannon stuff soon enough, lol.

Both Lucifer and Baphomet have goat heads, though I'd prefer Lucifer. I wouldn't base a character and involve him/her with religion. I just think Lucifer would make an excellent future boss because he got an honorable mention in MK. They turned characters like Ermac, Rain, Chameleon, and others into actual warriors that have a place in MK, so why not Lucifer? I think he fits the boss-type perfectly.
More info/bio/attacks on Lucifer soon.

I'd only want Lucifer back is he was nothing like you'd expect him to be. The whole Lord of all Evil...wants his throne back....giant demon with goat legs, horns, and a goutee.....all way too cliche.
I have no ideas because I've never bothered to think about it, but unless he's something completely original and unexpected...leave him gone.
