I doubt that they will be revived in the next game I think their costumes were to conceal the fact that they were all revenants and throw people off the story thinking that somehow they all came back to life.

If any come back to life I think it will only be Kung Lao if his and Kung Jins endings become canon ( they seemed like they might come true). I kind of hope sub zero goes on a rescue mission to try and revive his friend smoke as they had quite the bromance in the last game but I think he will stay evil for a while now as this enera persona he has going. I believe Liu and kitana will stay dead also and possibly have a feud over control of the netherealm with noob when he returns next game. As for the rest of the revenants don't really care maybe the heroes will find a way to release their souls without restoring them so they don't have to come back at all but can be free of the netherrealm.

If the kids are the main characters again, the revenants will be irrelevant unless they invade Earthrealm and even then, Kung Jin is the only one who'd really care. If he is to restore his cousin, I'm sure the others could be restored.
