The number of characters in a faction really don't matter. Once you join a faction, you can use any character in it.

You're also not alone on the Predator thing.

Yeah it is strange that the Lin Kuei is a selectable faction when only one person from the clan is confirmed at this point.

As for a Predator I wouldn't mind. The original cyber ninjas may have been inspired by the Predator but not enough to where the Predator couldn't be in a game along side one (or more) of them IMO

I think a Predator would work great with this game, he could have a rush down variation that uses his close range weapons like the staff and arm blade/claws, one that gives him his shoulder cannon for zoning, and one that is unarmed that utilizes his "invisibility" cloak and maybe his tightening net and that shuriken thing lol

Kano and QuanChi are also the only members of their relative factions. I think the obscure members will be at least be shown as NPC cameos. Frost, Jarek, Sareena, Kia, Jataka, etc.

Im not against guest characters. I welcome them actually. But Im really pissed they chose Jason for the 1st guest. Predator will also upset me. So Lame.

I wish they made it more even cus I'm thinking u will unlock titles for the characters in that faction.

I think they stuck to earthrealm mainly because other realms are going to invade in the living towers. All of the factions fight together on those, I could be wrong on that. Brotherhood is the only netherrealm faction but there is nothing for outworld. Seems like an odd choice, there is something behind it.

And I'm pretty sure you can consider Scorpion, Kitana, Kung Lao, Jax and Sub-Zero members since Reiko, Ashrah, Sareena and Tanya don't seem to belong to it in this timeline. If they aren't in it, then why is it even a thing?

Well the factions are based in the impact and the size of that group or clan in the MK universe.

Lin kuei for example had many warrios like Sub zero, Smoke, Sektor etc... Even in this time line where we only play as sub zero (if others like smoke dont are dlc) the Lin Kuei is still a huuuuuge clan conformed by many ninjas under the comand of sub zero.

Black Dragon has Kano but also like the Lin kuei has a huuge army that suplies weaponds to Outword and thats a rlevant par in the history.

By the other hand the Shirai Ryu has only Scorpion and his aprentice Takeda who is working with the special forces, but he doesn ́t have other members or a center of operations, the same scorpion was the one who burn his clan temple in order to reconstruc it in the future.

And for the Predator, he fits perfectly in the MK Universe. He is an Alien that lives to battle (like the Osh Tecs) and travels to diferent worlds to defeat their best warrios (similar to Shao Khan)

Shinnok is not a part of the brother hood of shadow. He is the person they worship. Also I don't think the dead count either cus it's more like a religion. Tanya for example praises shinnok.
