Do you think Li Mei should come back in MK7 or future MK games or should she be killed off and never ever return again? I say they should kill her off already, I don't know why they even created her in the first place or why they brought her back. She is no better in MKD than she was in MKDA. She hasn't added much to the story and could easily just of been left out. She is also a boring character to play, more boring than ever. She was a Mileena clone in MKDA and now she's a Bo' Rai Cho clone. I also hate her ending in MKD where she becomes Onaga's bitch, I think it's sick, hopefully that ending doesn't happen. I think the only reason Li Mei was ever created was for eye candy, nothing more. She is a terrible character, they gave her a second chance and have failed with her once again. When you bring back a trashy character your supposed to make them better. Well Li Mei may be a little better in MKD but that still isn't much of an improvement. If they can't make her any better then it's time for her to be killed off for good. Hopefully she does die, that bitch doesn't deserve to live and must be destroyed ASAP.

You certainly are passionate about hating this one particular character, aren't you?
She should die
I do not like the drastic change in her storyline. Her styles and moves are not so good like MKDA was. Only that sword are good.
I think that future MKs have to show the battle with earth warriors, no more outworld, orderrealm, chaosrealm and netherealm.

I was actually thinking of that, and...
I had an idea - say Onaga really does die or something. Well, maybe he shrinks back into Reptile.
Reptile, after his time with Onaga inside of him, has gotten tons of knowledge. His intelligence has cranked up to what it was long ago. He's no longer an animal. Another piece of information has went into him: Shao Kahn had murdered the Zaterrans. Now knowing of this fact, he refuses to serve Shao Kahn, who has been ressurected. However, he finds Li Mei bloody and broken on the floor. Faintly remembering her and feeling drawn to her because of that faint memory (from when she swore her allegiance to Onaga), he carries her to safety and nurses her to health. I kind of had this vision in mind where Reptile becomes obsessed with her. When Li Mei awakens, she finds Reptile as her rescuer. She's feeling ashamed for what happened. With Onaga out of the way, she no longer feels the need to serve him but feels very badly for what she's done. She decides to go out and find what is wrong with her and how she can eliminate this disease within her. Reptile decides to become her protector, partly because of his feelings for her, and because he has no purpose since his race is gone.
Like? In conclusion, yes, Li Mei should be in future MKs. Her and Reptile.

well the classic characters are getting dated i think , so it's time to develop newer characters. i haven't unlocked her yet, so i dunno how she is in this game, but i've been hearing good things. so yes keep her. it's something new for a change.

Well, his name is "I Hate Li Mei"
Anyways, I think Li Mei is definetly expendable. Besides, MK already has eye-candy, like Sonya (with her black thong in MK: DA) and Kira (With her cleavage)...

I think she should die only because she betrayed the others to be with Onaga. (Although I don't see how they would have sex!!! LOL) But she should die because she betrayed the good side. I think she is a pretty kool character even though because I think the MK team wants to create more new characters before they bring back old ones. But she is way better in this one than she was in the last one but they should have not given her Bo' Rai Cho's old fighting style: it sucked then and it sucks now. But her weapon is kick ass so it's all good I guess.

Well, her ending may not be canon. She could still be good. My story I wrote for her was just in case she did turn evil. She should definitely be in future MKs.

They should kill off all of the established characters and replace them with completely new ones. That would rock.

That's the only reason any female character was created for Mortal Kombat, and for that matter, most fighting games, so I don't know what you're getting at.

na i think Li Mei needs to stay.... she awsome in mkd and greatly improved over her mkda version. if you dont like that character dont use them then.. you be surprised how many people like li mei.
hahaha, i love your name.
anyway, i love Li Mei, she is an awesome character in my world. and i would love to see her in the future installment. however, yes, she should take a break and come back in the future but she shouldnt die for good. and if she die.....Vogel did say "no one actually die in MK". so either way, she will come back.
and she has improved greatly from MKDA to MKD. her story did actually has something to do with the MK world. she is no longer ugly. and her story has some twist and turn. and who knows, she could be the next Sub-Boss if parts of her ending is true.
so, if you hate Li Mei, then dont use her or even look at her. I hate Scorpion and i dont use him. but if Li Mei is in the next installment, i'll be cheering.

Thats not true, Sheeva or Ashrah for example and Sonya hardly showed any skin in the whole series

Not true. Like someone said, take Sonya for example. She is considered the most decent Mk female. She manages to look sexy without walking around half naked.
Someone mentioned Ashrah and Sheeva I think thats wrong. LOOK at Sheeva! I think she is one of the females that shows more skin then anyone else. And in Ashrhas alternate you can clearly see her underwear when she is knocked down (lol, no, Im no pervert, its just there).
But I see your point.
As for Li Mei, I completely disagree. She HAS improved a whole lot in MKD. I think she is definitely one of the best returning characters. Her whole story and concept design for her character evolved in so many great ways.
BTW, just because she learned a style from Bo rai Cho doesnt mean she is a clone of him.
She is a mid tier character, fun to play with IMO.
Li Mei made one of the best comebacks, and Im very pleased. She has become one of my favorites and I look forward to seeing her in future games and learn more about her story.
MKDA Li Mei: Pretty good. 7/10
MKD Li Mei: Excellent!!!! 10/10

Yes, it is true.
Males <3 females, and i'd estimate at least 80 percent of people that play MK are males. If two characters had the same moves, why would a male want to play as a female character rather than a male character, unless she was somewhat sexy? He wouldn't.
Sheeva? Yeah the actor that played Sheeva wore makeup so her face wasn't all that attractive, but the only other thing she wore in MK3 was a shoelace. Anybody who tells you they never noticed her breasts practically hanging out are unquestionably lying.
Ashrah's a female isn't she?
Therefore, she is just another extra for the guys to stare at. Upskirt, anyone?
Sonya? I think the thong classifies as the "sexy" part here.
Li Mei?
Nitara?
Tanya?
It's all the same.

Im not sure if I misunderstood what you said, did you say?:
1o A male player wont play with a female character because she is ugly.
2o A male player prefers a male character instead of a female character with same moves.
If thats what you mean, I disagree.
I like to play with female characters a whole lot more then with male characters. It just bores the hell out of me to play with the typical muscular male hero.
Im not saying all male characters are like that, but I rather play with females, its fun for me, and better, not because they are sexy, but because I like the image of a female kicking the ass of a male or any creature for that matter, instead of the typical male-monster-male muscular kombat.
No matter what fighting game I play, I always choose the female character first.
And yes, the thong of Sonya is one of the sexy parts, but compared to the rest, she is decent. Never seen her half naked.
But your points on females are true. The 99% of them are sexy, half naked and have a big sign that says SEX in their boobs.

agreed. if any of you know me and play video games with me all the time outside MKO. i always choose a girl no matter what. heck, if you talk to my best firend, he'll tell you that i never use a male characters. i always....ALWAYS choose a female character.

Well going on this subject, I tend to just use whoever I'm good with. A decent amount of time, it tends to be a female character (Kuni, Xiayou, and Julia in Tekken; May Lee, Whip, Kasumi, Yuri, etc. in KoF; Makoto, Ibuki, Rainbow Mika, etc. in SF). I really have no preference between male and female charactersm just whoever I'm good with and a good amount of times, the character tends to be female.

Li Mei made a drastic improvement over MKDA. i hated her a lot in MKDA. I was pissed off that she was going to be in MKD until i learned of her story, looks, and how she plays.
for fighting games i just choose whoever i am good with. in Soul Calibur 2 the females are really good (Cassandra, Talim, Sophitia, Xianghua, Seung Mina, and Ivy).

I disagree I think Li Mei is a good characer. However I agree she was brought into Deadly Alliance to replace Mileena because obviously they felt they should bring in some new characters and Mileena got the shove in favor of Li Mei. Also the same can be said about Kenshi. Its obvious Ermac was going to be in DA but at the last minute they said "Heck, we need more new characters, lets put in a new character, a Ermac clone called Kenshi, hopefully no one will notice the similarites". Now Kenshi IS an Ermac clone. At least Li Mei has original moves. But I dont mind Li Mei.

Li Mei's DA bio explains Scorpion's 'void'
Its great to see Im not the only one who plays with females the most.
Its not like I never play with the male characters (Kenshi, Tsung, Baraka, Nightwolf, Kabal, Ermac, MKD Liu Kang, Quan Chi, are just some of my faves), on the contrary, I play with them a lot...but I tend to be better with the females.
