I would like to see some differences in Konquest mode in MK7. I was one of the people who actually prefered MKDA over MKD in the different Konquest modes. I would like to see Konquest mode as this.

Everyone has paths they can take, and there are cutscenes between matches. The outcomes will change whether you win or lose, or make certain challenges, such as finish the opponent with a fatality. An example is if you are Scorpion, you have a fight with Sub-Zero. If you win, you go face Quan Chi, sort of like his MK4 ending. But if you lose to Sub-Zero, he will take you to the Lin Kuei and make you fight Cyrax or something.

There could be multiple endings for every character, and it could be a lot of fun if it is done right.
Post what you would like to see in MK7's Konquest mode, if there is one.

It could be more rpg like, but I still prefer the overall feel it had in MKDA. Konquest has potential to be a more in depth turtorial. It'd be like the Practice mode on Tekken and Soul Calibur only more interactive and you'd be able to do so much else.

Having individual stories acted out in it would be great and all the sidequests and paths taken should vary with each character. You could have several endings dependant on all the stuff you do.

I really had fun with MKDs conquest mode. The whole adventure thing was interesting, and discovering secrets because of certain days or hours was really cool (for me at least).

But yes, MKDAS conquest had much more depth, I enjoyed reading all the info (well, the kombat styles part was kind of boring) about the characters current and past situations, and even more when you faced someone and some original text will read:

*Cyrax doesn’t like Johnny Cages film, and he felt particularly robbed when he saw Ninja-Mime, so he is going to kick those $8 out of Johnny Cages skullâ€?….or something along those lines, it was hilarious.

Shit, forgot about this thread, lol.

I agree with you there Queve. All of the information in the text was fun to read. I hope they will bring this back in MK7.

Personally, I'd rather they scrapped Konquest mode altogether for MK7. If they want to do an rpg style game, make it something totally seperate, like MKSM was. Like most people, I bought MKD because I wanted a good fighting game, and I think the space wasted on Konquest should have been used on the main fighting engine, then hopefully we'd have got a good beat em up. I liked the deeper storyline of MKDA's Konquest, but in reality, that was a glorified practice mode (though still much better than MKD's), and they could have included those story details elsewhere.

Even in Soul Calibur 3, the new real time strategy style mode is the weakest link of the game, and feels a bit pointless.
