shouldn't this be in the future game ideas thread?

I really like the idea of a kata mode, but as a type of mini-game between fights, like the Test Your Might (which I miss).

im seeing this kinda mode like a guitar hero or chemistry class mini game in bully kinda deal...the kata being performed will be determined on your button presses.

yes, and then the better kata that you do, the better focus you have in the Kombat and an advantage

it sounds like a cool idea but i bet it would get really boring and annoying eventually

But mabye you could remove it from options menu

I had this same Idea only as a separarte mode.

My Kata Mode

Lets say I'm Liu Kang, I would be moving both thumbsticks along with timed button mashs to perform kicks and movement and punches etc. It would not be like buttons appear and you hit them like GTA: SA but a whole new form as described above. If I'm doing poor the famed MK Announcert would Laugh at me and tease me and my character would look like he or she is frustrated. But if I'm doing good that MK announcer would say "excellent" and Liu Kangs hand will be engulfed in fire while he is doing the kata to make it look cool. Sub-Zeros's hands would be engulfed in Ice.
