i was watching the mka cards on that dvd extra when you buy the premium game of mka. when mk4 came out they wanted kai to have a handstand stance while still being able to perform various kicks, punches, and various special moves.

it reminds me of eddy gordo or christy montario from the tekken franchise. the mk team said the did not have enough time in mk4 to make kai a handstand fighter but now the mk team has more time to improve kai in his handstand mode so maybe he can have it for future installments if brought back.
