Now, I'm pretty sure this is a dumb suggestion, or if this does exist in the game, this came out of nowhere after seeing one little thing about WWE. And I was wondering, you know how people are classifed as heavywieghts and lightweights depending on how much they weigh? Well I'm not saying lets classify each mk character as a heavyweight, but what if their weight depended on how much damage they recieve. Like this for example:

Shao Kahn is a very strong, boss-like character, so when he recieves damage let's say from Sub-Zero, and the damage from a punch is like 4 pts. Hitting against Kahn it gets reduced by 2. So basically Kahn is recieving 2 pts of damage from Sub-Zero. But if Sub-Zero punches someone like Scorpion, Scorpion recieves the 4 pts. And if Sub-Zero punches a female, lets say, Frost, the damage she gets is 6. (adding 2 more pts) because, yes the girls are tend to be weaker.

Just listing some of the charcters not all of them

So you have your strong characters: Kahn, Onaga, Moloch, Goro, Kintaro, Sheeva

Average: sub-zero, scorpion, kenshi, shang tsung

and weak - usually all the females except for sheeva.

basically if Mortal Kombat had something like this featured in the game, it would sort of make the game realistic in a way... but if they already have this in the game, then i must be blind, but if not, hey, it's a suggestion for the next game.

The concept is sound, but would probably result in no one wanting to use the female characters unless they were balanced. Like the stronger guys being much slower and easier to hit. I don't know if I'd like this myself though.

Not so sure if it would make things more "realistic" though. A recurring theme in MK is characters can be stronger/deadlier than they appear.

I think it's a good idea from both of the above. stronger either in def or off and slower.Quicker and more agile but takes more damage. In MKDA for example Lei Mei is quick but not a hard hitter, as Bo Rai Cho is more powerful but slow as hell.

PS peace!smile
