Surprised no one is talking about this. I stumbled upon this article that talks about this pitched idea for the MK reboot and some gameplay mechanics and character concepts. It was rejected but it would appear to me that they are looking to do a reboot and this was one of the first ideas that came about. Click the link. What do you think? I think it's a great idea and I wish these designs would have been accepted and put to use.

Because continuing to live in the past is exactly what Mortal Kombat needs.

I love all the character designs other than the Raiden one. It's that hat, it's way too big and impractical for fighting, and looks silly. But I have to admit the Scorpion concept is pretty awesome!

Reboot doesn't necessarily mean a remake of the original. It could mean they are rebooting the series with an all new cast (and some old favourites), instead of making stupid spin-offs. Which is exactly what the fans want, and is what Armageddon should have been!

Nah man if you look at the article you will see its completely different than those. What was on the front page was concepts for MKvDC. These are concepts for MK9 that were rejected

did you even bother to read the entire article instead of making assumptions?

I wouldn't mind a reboot as long as popular characters return.
We know they just registered Sonya, so expect her to appear in the next game, along with co-stars Sub and Scorp, but I'd also like to see the rest of the fan favs.
